Nope. Refurbish phones wont appear until 2 to 3 months later. All stocks replaced now are brand new set.

During 5S last year, I was given a refurbished unit - a couple of days after launch. Apple did confirm that it is a refurbished unit when I gave them the IMEI. The model number also gave it away. So then notion that refurbs don't exist during the first month may not always be true. Except for the iPad Air where I was given a retail set less than a month after launch.

I think this time refurb sets start with "N" instead of "M" on the model number. I might be wrong though as I only saw 1 so far.

From what I know, iPhones and iPad that are opened out of the box have a restocking fee of 15% if you want to return it.

It will be treated as accidental damage unless you open and inspect in front of the courier/telco/APR and reject it there and then.

No no. What I was referring was to the above statement.
Undamaged iPhones do not qualify for a full refund. They have a 15% restocking fee once it's out of the box/used.

went down to Alab at Plaza Sing and manage to get 1 to 1 exchange.

but i noticed the serial no is now start with C.. does it mean refurbish set?
and by the way, does refurbish set meaning lower selling price or what?

No refurb sets right now, all are new sets.
Same resale value.

Even if they're really refurb sets, they'll look like new as they will repackage it etc.
