Got my scope pictures. Can help me upload? TIA!

I bought a Solasfera 0.41 F VVS2. The 0.42 E VVS2 I originally wanted was sold before I can confirm it.

Now waiting for my customized setting pics :s12:

Hi, i have a newbie qns to ask.

I have short listed a few diamonds and i think this is one of the best.

GIA - Report Check

Any comment will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Maybe try not to get Diamond of the rounded carat. 0.38 or 0.39 looks similar to 0.4 but is much cheaper.

Although the cut might be excellent, good to look at the aset and h&a scope to see the light performance.

Same thoughts as delmonc... Get a 0.4X or 0.3X.

HCA score is good at 1.0
You will need the scopes to check the brilliance.. You're already paying for the best color D and best clarity IF.. You wouldn't want it to be less brilliant becos of the cutting.. I made this painful and expensive mistake once before from buying a diamond online based on the certificate only.

My partner and I were served by Lionel from JP. My proposal ring specs are:

- Carat: 0.71
- Colour: D
- Clarity: VVS2
- Cut: Excellent
- Diamond type: Super ideal cut
- Price $9100 ($600 for 18K white gold setting)

Is it a good deal?

JP Diamonds ROCK!

Hi all,

I too am a "victim" of the JP Diamond saga.

After reading this forum, decided not to go for the branded diamonds and go with JP as they offered more value.
Initially i had wanted the cushion but in the end i got Round.

1.27 ct Brilliant
F VVS1 3EX
Flourescence NONE
Rose Gold 4 prong

Sales Person : Ranjit (highly recommeded) Not pushy...in fact i tot he wasn't interested in my business as i hardly heard from him. In fact he only texted me the following day to give his best offer for a diamond i had viewed. Subsequent text's was me asking some ?. On top of that he helped to repair some of my wife's faulty jewellery at a SPECIAL PRICE.

My Wife : hmmm she was as usual shocked as i did not tell her about this. After i told her the price, she doesn't dare to wear it out.

Many thanks to HWZ and the ppl who contributed to this forum.

Bless you all....Be Happy.

Hi guys,

Need your kind advise on the following Cushion diamonds that I've shortlisted. Is it true that you can't calculate HCA score for Cushion diamonds? I noticed that the GIA certs do not indicate the crown and pavilion angle required to calculate the HCA score. If so, then would it be safer to get a round diamond which you are able to calculate HCA?

What do you guys usually engrave on your ring? Just name and date?
For the date, do you put anniversary date, ROM date or wedding date?

From my limited knowledge... there are cushion cuts that have all the spec to calculate the HCA Score, just that they are not GIA Certified.

I believe i saw some at JP (Cushion Brellia) can't recall which company certified the diamonds...something with A in it. Sorry can't help much on that.
