All herring products from herringsuk having 10% sale, HS1014B at checkout

Cheers ✌️

Only applies to regular-priced items. There was already a 10% code going around for all regular-priced products. 'TWEET10' if I remembered correctly.

Anyone here does antiquing/patina?
How do you maintain the color/clean after that? Need to strip and reapply the wax each time you clean it?

Hi, anyone here happen to be edetal size 37, and also owns meermins Hiro or Olfe lasts?
I'm still not confident it translates to a size 5.5 for both lasts.
Thanks!

I think I could be one of the smallest size owner on edetal, but I don't own a meermins though.
I am wearing Nicol on 37 and Mountbatten on 38. Comparing to Red Wing wise, I wear 875 5.5E and 8165 6D. Hope this helps you in some way.

But the strange thing is that I wear the Dunearn on 39 though. So edetal shoes really must try then will know...

Can i ask how you guys know which Last suits you, when ordering from online?

In general, you have to understand first how wide your foot is. If you have narrow feet, narrower , more sleek lasts would work. In general, when you buy online, they will mention if the last is generous or snug fitting. This will already give you an idea. Then do some of your own research online and on forums. You should also email the guys you intend to buy from and ask for sizing advice. They are always quite happy to do so. Other things to take note of are how high your instep is, heel area and also the amount of taper at the toebox.
There is however, no guarantee you will fit very nicely into any particular shoe. At the end of the day, get your length right, understand the width of your feet. Take a leap of faith.

Hi Seniors, just to check are shoe trees very important in the maintenance of shoes? Intending to get a pair of herring shoes and checked the Herring Shoe Trees listed on their website, it is quite pricey.

So just to gather some thoughts from here.

Thanks alot.

They are yes. It helps stretch out the leather and maintain the shape of the shoes after a day of wear. In this way, to some small amount, it might help with creasing. The wood also helps absorb odors and moisture. So yes. Worth investing in

I think Herring used to give out 1 shoe tree for the first purchase. Need to search online for the code. Not sure if they still do that.
