My iPhone 5 screen has permanently dislodged from the casing. It's now hanging by a thin wire. And I'm using a rubber band to secure it. It started from a mere gap to what it currently is in under a week. I'm not eligible for the battery replacement program but am eligible for the sleep/wake button replacement program. Should I try my luck and just send it in?

I just went to a.lab and got the 1-1 exchange. Was not covered under the battery program but was covered under the sleep/wake program. Phew. Now my phone is new! Time to sell the iPhone 5 and buy a new phone!

currently qcd @ wheelock no stock for 1 to 1 replacement,

counter staff told me have to wait at least a week for stock to be replenish

Exchanged mine this morning.
At first they told me must wait one week, after that they check with their technician then told me can replace with new one.

No. I told them my screen is popping out then they said it could be bloated battery. They also said bloated battery within three years or smth can exchange.

my phone is covered under on-off button, but recently the bloated battery issue also kicked in...

gotta go down a.lab this weekend to try and get a 1-1 exchange.. anyone checked if they still have stock there?

Got down to a.labs today and waited like 4hours.. But all is worth it.

Managed to get a 1-1 replacement within 10mins. As long as is battery bloated and pass their diagnostic test will be eligible already no questions asked.

What do need to bring to claim for exchange due to battery bloating? Just the set will do? Sorry too long never go claim warranty alr..
