its your personal preference.

For the cost of the watch. It also depends on the brand. For certain brands, the price difference between leather and metal can be a few hundred dollars.

:s11:
hearsay leather one absorbs the sweat & it gets stinky?
i'm caught in 2 minds whether to opt for the metal (more suitable for old uncles?) or the (supposedly) more trendy leather strap...

That's true and for me my wrist will get irritated and itchy for leather straps. That's why I only put on metal bracelets and in general also costs more than the leather counterparts.

question: buy watch choose metal strap or leather strap better?

Personal preference. But I always buy the metal bracelet version as it will always cost an alarming amount of money to buy the steel bracelet later. For example my wife bought a Black Bay on leather as she dislikes metal straps and now that I sometimes feel like wearing it on steel I have yet to talk myself into coughing up close to 1k for the bracelet.

The part about the cost difference is definitely true.. One thing to note, some watches are designed such that bracelet and strap are NOT interchangeable.

Rolex being one of such brands. So you need to think carefully and get what you truly like/prefer than just cost consideration.

Buy the metal strap.
Sometimes the after-market leather strap can be had for a reaasonable amount whereas some metal strap cam cost more than 4 digits

buy watch with steel bracelet... because it will cost more than buying the leather
Some brands selling watch with steel bracelet and watch with leather at same price.

Take the steel bracelet. Leather can come later or rather it is easier to get leather.

I support original but just now at lunch I was fooled by my client who worn a fake PAM.

The watch above is a Fake PAM. Worn by my client whom I had lunch earlier. honestly speaking, since I do not know much about PAM. I was unable to tell it was a replica.
If my client didn't tell me it was a Fake, I would have thought it was the real thing because I don't know much about PAM.

sorry. Not here to promote Replica but just wanted to increase awareness that there are more and more of these top grades replica flooding the market.

yeah but if you don't use the bracelet, it will depreciate along with the rest of the watch. fair game both ways, without bracelet or "head only" sales may be easier especially for brands where used bracelets are easily found e.g. rolex, sinn
