Changing cellular band from 3G to 4G takes much longer now, roughly 1 minute. For iOS 8.0 and 8.0.2, 4G gets locked on almost instantaneously.

Otherwise, WiFi is faster now and more stable. How's battery life for you guys?

Yup battery life is abit bad. Usage is 3h17mins now and at 61%. On 6. And mostly safari with 4G

Anyone hasconfirmed that the safari spinning wheel bug has been fixed?

still got even after updating but then still better then ios 8.02...
Previously very drain battery sia usin safari...chrome browser still better then safari for ios 8...

Those having battery drain, did u enabled icloud photo beta? That option keep uploading in the background even when screen is off. I off the icloud photo beta, everything good to go. Battery life is as good as on 8.0.2

Can I confirm did anyone went with this route?

Existing ipad/iphone on ios 7.1.2... did full backup

Use this full backup to restore to NEW ipad/iphone that is on ios 8.1.

I believe it is possible but would like check if anyone successfully upgrade their device through this way. Thank you!

Those having battery drain, did u enabled icloud photo beta? That option keep uploading in the background even when screen is off. I off the icloud photo beta, everything good to go. Battery life is as good as on 8.0.2

this icloud photo beta is only available on 8.1?

Brought the phone out (went to alab to replace my f-ed up lightning cable) and checked the battery life. Non stop use for the 3 hours to-and-fro battery life from 100% down to 44%.

Feels about the same as 8.0.2.

Battery life is bad. 8.0 has better battery life

I have turned off iCloud Beta right from the start but I still feel the battery life not as tong as 8.0.2.
