i understand, but isn't 200mbps would provide me an more stable connection during bad connections? e.g 100mbps im buffering at 200kb/sec, but 200mbps may give me 300-400kb/sec?

but i dunno whether xiaomi can support USB 3.0 gigabyte network or not

I don't think so.

The bottleneck is at the link between sg and china.

100Mbps is more than sufficient for streaming. you can do 4k video with it

Overkill alr. if able to have a stable of 300kb/s you can able to watch movie with HD of 1080.

the bottleneck is the link between SG and CN. think VQ have a good reputation for good streaming for china show and provide freedom VPN.

I on yellow 100mb speed. so far ok except duration evening time.

Ahhh!! haha ya lo :( I guess i'll get the RJ45 USB 100mbps see if it can improve..

even pudding is very unstable in non-peak hours like 3pm+, giving me 20-60kb/sec...

i just bought mine recently...

setting up the box is fairly easy, power+wifi/ethernet+HDMI.

i bought jailbreak one from q10, so some apps like pudding is inside...and ready to watch...if u can stream smoothing

which ISP are u using?

buy non-root version and save a bit. rooting is pretty simple unless you really got no confidence.

after rooting can download any apk you like.

the firmware must be below 1.3.53. 1.3.53 version unable to root.

M1 fiber 200mbps here

I use the following apps because they aggregate from multiple sources, so for the same drama I can choose the faster source to stream from.

VST全聚合2.5
pudding
魔力视频

For a show, it may have 1 or multiple sources to choose from. These are my experience so far.

LeTV and MangoTV only start buffering then very smooth playback all the way

腾讯 very fast but the lowest quality

Youku and iQiYi are slower than LeTV and MangoTV with occasional buffering while watching. Still very watchable. Performance very confusing because some shows are very smooth, some shows are buffering occasionally

Sohu, PPTV source totally can't connect

Generally, can watch many shows without much problem, but wish to ask if can improve the speed further as some shows only have youku and iqiyi as the source.
Is there anything to install to help to improve the speed of youku iqiyi? Or can even connect to sohu or pptv?

Thanks!
