As much as I'm interested to get, But did a search online it says this model is having lots of problem from connectivity to charging problem. Can anyone confirm?

My Nexus 7 2012 has charging problem.
It detects that the USB is plugged in but the battery never goes up.

Tried opening it up, removing the USB board and fixing back.
Works for a week or so then the problem comes back.
Don't know is it the USB board problem or the ribbon feeding into the board problem.

Now thinking of trying the pogo connection but no skills and parts to build a construct.

Heard that this model has some lousy memory modules or something but cannot confirm.

If possible I recommend to get the 2013 model instead of the 2012 model.
(Though my 2013 model came with a faulty earphone jack.)

May I know if there is any case for Nexus 7 2013 similar to the Galaxy Tab 7.7 book cover ( pic below ) ?

Non-Magnetic and Non-Tri-Fold would be better.

This is the thread for the 2012 version.
Your question would be better answered at the thread for the 2013 version:

Just got my 2012 Nexus . Its late but i guess it should fulfill my requirements for a video player when bringing the ipad is not feasible ...

Anyway it was new n sealed. So for $110, its considered not a bad purchase.

Not yet, mine 3G so no deal yet lol But i saw online video, while most things are faster, don't expect miracle cos certain things still lag. Looks like i better save up for N9 :p

I feel there's no need for further upgrades on tablet though. Stock will not be as fast as you expect unless you go on custom whereby they'll take away all the unnecessary bloatwares.

Used to use custom rom on my S2 then the damm thing has always has 1 or 2 thing not stable, was damm annoying and i stop using it and just root, then later on also find rooting a bit annoying cos my phone was messy with all sorts of stuff lol so after that i just use stock haha.

Arh, okay. I'm still using S2 and it seems fine enough for me on SlimSaber Kitkat. Although yes, the process might be a little more complicating than flashing other normal custom roms.

What about your N7? On custom rom or stock? Rooting of N7 now is just a 1 click button though.

Stock. I'll probably only ever root it few more years down when this tablet is lying there collecting dust. My S2 is now my radio player at home lol. Can't give it up cos of the FM Radio. I waiting for a custom Lollipop for S2 next time but i doubt i'll get it cos i heard none of the rom out there now for S2 has FM radio

Oh ok, i have an iPod Touch and it's shitty that it doesn't have FM Radio.

But i see pricing of N9 abit more on the expensive side.

Can try Samsung S Tab mah. The pricing better. Of course this is if you purhase from Amazon lar.

Don't want la, i want Nexus. If i ever buy a Samsung tablet, it will have to be with a Stylus and right now the ones with stylus doesn't really cut it yet in terms of performance. Also, i want it to be in 64bit le.

Can't really do much on the N7 cos the performance is bad so Office software can't really be used without frustration and so is web surfing.

Gonna wait for N9 32gb LTE to drop in price then see.
