Hey all. Just to check.

My current DBS bank account has my company salary credited to it by giro and it gives a code saying "SAL". Is this the same as "Giro-Salary"? Will this fulfill the criteria for the bonus interest?

Yes I believe that is how DBS Bank code salary that is paid thru giro, the coding is slightly different across the banks...

What about for 365 card? Does ipp form part of the s$600 min. spending to entitle up to 6% dining rebate etc?

For 365 cards, IPP transactions will not be eligible in the computation of the minimum S$600 spend requirement and will not earn any cash rebate

Hi quirkyhill

As IPP transactions are not eligible in the S$600 computation, converting your purchase into instalments will not fulfill the spending requirement

the giro deduction date will be on the credit card bill due date? would it be the same date?

Yes, if your card payment due date is on 20 Nov 2014, the deduction will take place on that day

However, it can happen anytime (morning or night) of 20 Nov '14

the 3% will in within 7th working day of the calendar month.

you will see 4 lines of interests in total.

on the 11th, I only have one line.
Bonus Interest - this one is Spent $400 or 3 bills?

Because I fulfilled both but only had one line but I aint complaining as I just applied for the account slightly less than a month ago. Just want to check the entry. :)

Sorry if this has been asked before.

If I pay three different credit card bills - i.e. OCBC Frank, ANZ, Citibank does that fulfill the three bill criteria? Is there a minimum spend amount on these bills?

Can the OCBC Frank card payment mentioned above be reconsidered for the minimum $400 spend criteria for credit card?

1. No minimum amount in bill payment, as long is of a seperate bill.

2. $400 criteria excludes bill payment and also some other transactions. Therefore, not considered. Read thru the FAQ and T&C as it addresses all your queries.

From website faq:

These transactions do not qualify for this bonus:

Balance transfers
Cash advance
Cashwise
Paylite
Smartchange
Fund transfers
Fees and charges

From T&C:

i. Transactions arising from the use of any OCBC Credit Cards as an ATM card, ETPOS,
NETS terminal or any other channels such as eNETS.
ii. Fees or charges including annual fees, late payment fees, finance charges, cash
advance fees, interest charges and all other miscellaneous fees.
iii. Balance transfer, SmartChange, Cash advance, CreditWise and CashWise.
iv. Transactions on credit cards that are terminated at any time for any reason, whether
by the principle credit card holder or OCBC Bank.
v. The transacted and posted amount for PayLite will be eligible for the relevant
calendar month of transaction. Any subsequent monthly repayments to PayLite will
not be eligible.
vi. Transactions on Debit Cards, Business/Corporate Cards and Private label cards.
vii. All other transactions as OCBC Bank may determine from time to time without prior
notice.

Can you please clarify what is meant by "bill payment"? It does not seem to appear in the T&C or FAQ.

Yes. No minimum payment amount

Spending is spending. Payment is payment. They are completely separate.
