Anyone Bought Aztech 7008 Router?

I saw the CPU (think its 1.2GHz dual core) and was very interested. Then I was also told that it works with Singtel VLAN out of the box (no configuration needed, just plug and play).

But I do not have wiress AC devices and my PC is connected via cable. I am currently using 7003 and I am not a heavy user (300Mbps plan).

Do you think I will benefit from the 7008? Eg. torrent faster, load websites faster, lower ping for games etc.

Nope, there won't be any significant difference according to your hardware above..

It will only be different if you have wireless ac devices connected to it. Even so, your wireless clients also must be able to support the fast speed, if not your free 7003/7002 is sufficient enough.

the notable differences between 7008 and 7003/7002 is because of the new processor and higher wireless AC speed comparing to 7003. 7002 is nowhere near because it's a 2x2 wireless N router up to 300mbps only, 5Ghz is 3x3 up to 450mbps.

The MU-MIMO is currently a marketing gimmick because there is no such wireless client equipped with MU-MIMO in the market at the moment.

Therefore, if your PC is connected by LAN and your wireless devices are not AC-enabled, getting this 7008 router will give you the same experience as your current one..

The 7002 is:
2x2 (300Mbps PHY rate) for the 2.4Ghz band
3x3 (450Mbps PHY rate) for the 5Ghz band.

1) My Mac mini 2011 is 3x3 and it links 5Ghz at 450Mbps with the 7002.
2) inSSIDER shows my 7002 5Ghz band max rate as 450.

Of course actual wifi speed is less than half of PHY rate. Nothing to do with router (any router any brand) but rather the wifi specification is over-hyped.
