Franck Muller Watch

Hi all,

I'm looking to perhaps buy a 2nd hand Franck Muller watch from someone, and wanted to check if anyone knows if there's any way one can have it authenticated?

I know that in the case of a Rolex, one can bring it to RSC to have it verified (for $107 still?), but is there a similar process for FMs?

Also, anyone know if there's a strong compelling reason not to get a franck muller in general?

Thanks,

Cokiee

2nd hand can get, although value not as good as rolex/pam/ap, it's better than buying first hand. Got a friend buy a franck muller watch for 19k 4 years back, now shops offering him 6k buy in. Resale value very very pathetic. Lol.

FM is a single man operation.
and the business is languishing in the mud pit cos nothing was happening in the past few years.

I feel for FM owners cos FM might close down.
If FM close down I think the FM watch prices might nosedive

Hey guys, I'm looking at getting my first watch.. I went to take a look at the Seiko presage and Tissot Visodate. Just wondering what brands/watches I should be looking at if I have a budget of (a) 1K and (b) 5k ?

What style you looking for?

Hmmmmmm.... FM lover.... people who like FM are into artisan horology... I am sure you are one who appreciate Arts and finer details :)

You can try to go sincere watch and check with them. There is one at Taka.

FM is a different category of Automatic watch as compared to brands like Omega, Tag Heuer and Rolex. They focus on complications and exotic inventions, like tourbillion n perpetual calendar.

My dream watch from FM is their Casablanca series.... its a beauty.

under 1K try or those microbrands such as
Automatic Silver and White (blue hands) - PRE-ORDER – Rossling & Co.
C5 Malvern Automatic - Christopher Ward
Stowa A10 if your budget is a little over 1K and dont mind waiting

5K
Frederique Constant Manufacture
Longines Masters collection
Full Calendar Chronograph | Pharo | Limes | German Watch Shop
nomos
Dornblueth & Sohn Calibre 99.0

Since we are on the subject of buckles, I am also interested to get some nice buckles. I like the 福 buckle but my straps are all 22mm. Any good recommendations that I can buy from?

Ps. I know I can use the 24mm buckle on my 22mm straps. But I am waiting to see if I can source for any 22mm buckles first.

Thanks.

Agree. I was really drawn to his range of gemstone, & ming dynasty dragon buckles. Just no watches to complement these buckles yet.

Gemstone Buckles 24mm | Black Forest

Woah... something really different, almost like mixing Asian & Western influences together.

Well, the closest that you will get will be this

22mm Brushed Fu

Or you can speak with Blackforest and see if you can commission 1x 22mm "Fu" buckle, if you really want one!

@Hua_Hui , That red strap I posted was acquired about 2 months back and I've used it for about 20 times or so. I would have to say the quality is not bad and the strap is thick and comfortable.

@Azrielsc , Yeah they do have quite a range of colours for their Alligator straps which got me interested and not forgetting the buckles too. Btw, if you decide to get something from them, you can use the 20% discount code: BF20XMAS
