Where are they located? If in town i just hoot from either one liao

E1 is at far east shopping centre, between forum and hilton iirc.

Connect IT got 2 outlet. Tampines and JEM

Thanks darth_vader! Illusionist, make sure to call and check first; I think the price is only for members in ConnectIT. E1 should be around that price unless my memory fails me...

Fiio X1 sounds so much better using the line out with an amp. I tried it with a cheap Topping NX1 amp worth about 50 bucks and it make the world of a difference comparing to using the headphone out. BTW....the Champagne gold colour is seriously stunning good looking.

Took the plunge and bought a champagne gold X1. Now charging before 1st use :)

Just a question - Did any of the bros here transferred songs from Ipod Classic to Fiio?
I know Google shows multiple methods/programs that will help transfer songs from Ipod to computer.
Just not sure if the different Chinese characters/album artwork etc etc will be transferred accordingly to Com to X1.

Wait all my chinese songs titles and artists show up as ???? :(

TIA for any useful feedback

Seems like no one feeding back on this. Just an update what I have tried thus far:

1. Manual Copy to Com directly from Ipod Classic

There are ways to reveal the ipod_control folder where one can copy to com (google easily shows how). However, quite limited in options, as when I transferred to X1 the file names are labeled as four alphabets (must go into the music track before Chinese/English names are shown. No good...

2. Purchase 3rd party software

In the end decided to just spend some money to purchase a software so I can choose to how to group ( temporarily grouping via artists). Still seeing how the best way to sort out the files on X1.

Of course can google for cracked version but decided to just buy.

For consideration for those porting from iOS devices. (Using Touchcopy for my case).

Cheers~

both x1 and x3 sound different. maybe you should try them out first and see if you like the sound. personally x3 offers a more enjoyable overall from Headphone out for me, compared to the x1.

I need a new portable player to go with the Fiio E11k amp i got.

My refurbished ipod nano 6th gen is kinda wonky the screen goes white at times.

Was looking at X1 and X3 but not sure what the differences are.

Can someone enlighten me?

I have listened to the A17 from Sony in Japan and the Astell and Kern 100k mII but unfortunately it was out of stock in Yodobashi on my last day in Japan.

How does the X1 and X3 compare to these players?

Thanks in advance.

matter of preference, no such thing as which is better. bring your rockboxed ipod along to a/b with x1 at the various specialist retailers

Dude,
Many audio retail stores in SG selling this player.
You can try E1, ConnectIT, Jaben, Song Brothers, AV-One, Stereo.

Pls google for their locations and opening hours
