Do both of the watches below look equally nice to you?

cheers

yes both looks nice, from the pictures.

Plus, from the pictures, the way both dials are constructed is different. One is "Sandwiched". The other is not... Thanks to Azrielsc for sharing with me some info about PAMs =)

So, end of the day, it depends which watch design you like.

still... what are YOU trying to imply?! :s8:

you can check with Azrielsc, Paladium and also Yatto dai kor... they are really into PAMs...

with a cup of coffee or tea, I am sure they are more than willing to share with you their stories on PAMs...maybe hold some hotdogs..walk over to ION PAM AD :s8:

walk out from the AD shop a happy man, with a few PAM hoots to celebrate Xmas :s13:

My story is I didnt like pam cos they all looked the same.

Then I wanted to get a diver one day. And tried the dssd. Somehow it didnt have wrist presence despite being 44mm. Quite disappointed and so just gey kiang tried the pam024. Mesmerized. Actually even now I'm not sure if I should have gotten a pam24 instead of the 305, but yeah the 305 sits nicer on my wrist, and I like the see thru case back.

A lot of ding-dongs and finally decided on the 305. Maybe I shld just get a pam24 also. I dunno.

The strap poison is a story for another day......
The Ida story also......

Wrist shot for today. Back at work.

the way I see swatch group service center I know they cmi...

last time at wheelock place, have to queue for 1 hour to get the watch serviced.

then over at the service facility itself, it is so exposed to outside environment. People keep on entering and exiting the room.

Once of my experiences is that my seamaster earned a few deep scratches on the inside of bracelet when I never wear a ring lol.

The problem is, there are simply too many repair order requests and their staff is limited

Bracelet scratch, lugs scratch , caseback scratch, I still ok with it,,

But dust in watch, scratches in hour hands :s22:...

4th trip there already :( , I applied for total 4 days leave just to settle my watch.

According to this watch repair guy , service centers do not have the top facilities to carry out servicing. For e.g in order to have a dust free watch, the room has to be very clean, ideally work should be done in a suction hood which will suck any dust particles into the hood. Services centres do not have such high end equipment , everything Is done open air.

In addition like wad u said, the workload is very high.

The main problem however is the lack of good facilities I think, melchers which cater to only a few watch brands like brietling also have quality issues I encountered .

Only 2 solns, send to private watch repair shops or send watch back to the watch headquarters in Switzerland .

Not quite really the case.

I really regret sending my UN for servicing to a private watch shop. Coming to 10 months now and it's still not OK yet...................:s22:

Should have send it back to UN through THG for servicing..................:o

lemem guess..jwwatches?? :o

10 mths but if the outcome is good, i dont mind..

better than they rush n screw up :)

sending back to UN headquarters also not a bad idea since they should have the proper equipment

Its not always about the wrist size, depends on the height, attire and the way you carry it. 47mm on a 6.25" is doable.

Sent from GAGT Android App

I support this. Go in just try and look into mirror. Ask someone go with you. Try a 47mm also

Just do it, trust me.

Have to just live with it. I got so many scratches on my PAM until i also don't really bother liao. Don't know how it got there in the first place also. My Omega got a chip wearing on the first day. I have learnt to live with it liao. Or accumulate more then go polish loh.. :s13:

I do have a strap from Panatime but I dont really like it. But then they have too many straps and I could have chosen a "wrong" strap. :(

I m no expert in strap. But so far my most expensive strap is from JnS and I like it.
