Went crazy skyping my friend while polishing my shoes...

... What to do with the cracks ...

Will it be wise to remove all the wax and re-polish my shoes again?

Dun bother lah just wear till the wax flak off and wipe away with a soft cloth. Next time polish the creases with a light layer of a wax and brush it off, no need to waste time and effort on the part of the shoe that flexes.

Get some insoles. Those numbers now nice ones superfeet cost like usd$40

Not a high arch guy but high arch could result in you having a higher instep so I would suggest going for derby rather than oxford dress shoes. Focus on comfort, then brands like geox, rockport, clarks and hush puppies come to my mind..

Also, I am not sure what's your occupation but timberland designs wouldn't typically make the cut for office dress shoes.

But if the shoes fit you and the design is acceptable at your workplace, why not try?

I hope u apply some sort of leather conditioner or cream before u waxed them.

You mean before the first layer of wax? I think I did, I went through the whole process...

Reno -> Cream -> Wax

But I don't think now need to reno and cream that wax part anymore right? Since it is wax already..

Need some advice from bros who've had experience in both the Loake capital and Carmina rain lasts.

From what I read, it appears that most take the same size for both lasts.

The Loake capital last in UK6.5 is a very snug fit (not uncomfortable though) for me, except for the instep area wherein I have to pretty much lace up fully (not much of a "V" if you know what I mean) in an oxford. Given the snug fit, I'm unsure if I should be getting the same size in a Carmina oxford in rain last. So I guess the question is, is the rain last somewhat wider/narrower than the capital last?

Rain last is very slightly narrower than capital last. If capital last is just nice for you width wise, rain would be tight. Instep wise rain is also lower.

Usually when I polish got a cloth, but when not doing anything it is always at my cabinate... was polishing that night

Hmm, come to think of it, would an Inca in the same sizing be ideal then....

Hmm, i dont think it requires sizing up. Not sure how snug is snug for u on the capital last. If u dont experience any toe pinching w capital last, perhaps u can take the same size in rain.

Anyway KS is carrying carmina, go try sizes for yourself will be the best option.
