Also got TVB series and HK movies in Cantonese?

I said VOD, didn't i? For streaming channels like you mentioned, you can try hdp or sub a service like qyzb, season etc...

Qyzb works with mibox.. you can PM me for the apk should u need to try out as it has 5 free trial channels.. of course you can get all free channels for 30 days after requesting for it in their qq group..

yes for me. just use adapters will do, only bad thing is that the cable is pretty short, must think of ways to extend it

check with you guys, i have installed shafa market yday and was testing out the inbuilt network speed check, the speed was real bad and even downloading updates like chrome also took like 30 mins

my box isnt "rooted" yet so cant use google playstore yet but not sure if it is the cause, i have also restarted my router and tested my internet speed, everything is as per normal..

any advise if theres something i'm missing out?

lastly, by resetting to factory defaults, it should clear up and return to the out of box condition right? (i got it from the lazada seller, so nothing special pre-installed)

Erm I just got a cheap USB 2.0 one from bizarre however the speed is much slower than my wifi by 50%

Those speed test are linked to China server so it's expected to see slow results. To test local speed, you can install Ookla Speedtest instead.

If you want a faster connection to China, you may need a China VPN service.

Yeah the box from Lazada is not preconfigured with any additional software.
You may need to boot to recovery to restore it to factory.

I did speed test on WiFi also. The speed cmi but streaming still OK. I set to HD and not fhd. But I didn't stream for long to test though.

Best way usually is to use VPN bah.

Mine bought from China (someone bring over to me) and the power is 2 flat pin type.
Just buy a adapter from nerbouhood shop will do.

Many of these usb to rg45 adapters are more for pc.

bros, another question about the mibox:

there are 2 different versions on Qoo - one is the 1GB version and the other is the 4GB version. boths sellers claim their version is the latest and greatest:

1) Qoo10 - LOCAL SELLER 3rd Gen Latest Version Xiaomi TV Box Free HK Movie : TV, Camera & Audio (1GB)

install speedtest.net apk in the box and run a test using the default singapore server. If you can get more than 10Mbps then you wifi is good enough.

If you look at the Q&A section for the above product, in answer to a question on june 27th, seller says it does not work with the xiaomi
