While it's still too premature without seeing what they have in their OxygenOS.....I find it very hard to imagine what they have that would be better than a stable CM12. Just the CM12 theme engine is a big win imho liao....

Wi-Fi is perfect for me. Apps working fine. Agree on battery life. Gestures are out on 31st build.

RIL stability is a mixed bag. On early builds, there was one which had an SMS bug for me..
After sending an SMS, it sends duplicates of the same message to the same recipient at random intervals, was fixed on new build.
On some builds, the gsm radio might crash non stop if u switch from Wi-Fi to data.
No Random reboots encountered by certain CM11s users.
Don't try every build, just stick with a stable enough one.

I just flashed 2 Feb. Audio glitch still there. A lot of users report this with Spotify. This is incorrect, it affects even Rocket player.

My AP hanged last night. For some reason, one notebook cannot get connected. Much later I suspected was due to DHCP pool full. After AP reboot, my OPO wifi performance is good. Couple with logcat saying DHCP failure, I guess I need to check my DHCP setup.

Flashlight gestures does not work. Camera and music ok.

Now for the serious bit. I noticed that I am getting ghost touch in TWRP.

Anyone similar?

even if u flashed the PERFECT rom.. u only use the hp to call, sms, whatsapp, play games, surf net, listen to music, take photo, watch movie, facebook

os affect alot of stuff leh, like battery life, call quality, wifi signal and sometimes even audio volume.

That's why some like to play around to get the best out of it. That's also a reason why people want to use stable and trusted OS used by millions of user. In this case, cyogenmod

as of June 2014, CyanogenMod has recorded over 12 million active installs on a multitude of devices

good luck to oxyogen os, i really doubt they will win cym users over

The current services that I can think of are those that Xiaomi is doing i.e. themes and aesthetic add ons . But given the relatively small reach of OP devices, and then halving that with the people using OxygenOS it's going to take a long time for those services to help their bottom line.

Not to mention who's going to actually help them with those "services" if it's not a money making proposition. And I have this niggling suspicion that OxygenOS is going to be stock Lollipop that they will "promise" to add stuff to in future.

To each his own. It's a mindset as well - some like to flash just to see what's out there. It's actually quite fun if you have the time.

I used to do it often in the past, in search of something better. But I'm over that now - instead I just look for the device that fits me the best in it's stock condition, and stick to that.
