You are right. But the MiPad is an Android tablet afterall. And as you probably know, Android tablets don't have that many apps that are optimised for the larger display. Most apps are still stretched-out phone apps that don't make use of the extra screen real estate.

I am not sure if this is still right for today's large screen Android tablet. Have you tried the new version 5 Andriod?

wonder if xiaomi will update and optimize miui for the mipad

the lag is sometimes getting on my nerves, i will just use my ip6+ to surf edmw instead

Currently Miui is not even optimize for phone. Guess the quality is down at each update. Still waiting for my 4.4 with Miui 6. On Redmi before any other decision on Xioami.

Okay leh the mipad screen is still quite big compared to my iPhone 6+
Anyway just installed chrome beta on mipad and it feels much better than the default chrome

Dont get confused with these specification. For a pocket device. Every inches count.

I tried to install some game and apps, but the google play unable to find it and only saw in my apps (All) list.
and when I try to install the app, it show "your device isn't compatible with this version"
i just got it today and didn't plan to root it, anyone got a solution for this?
i google it, but most solution needs root.

p/s: mine is Singapore version and comes with google play

i think it's because google play restricts the apps to install only on phone devices, and not tablet devices.

It could be that the apps are not optimized for the NVIDIA processor that powers the Mi Pad.

Perhaps you should give an example of apps that you want to install. The problem with Android from my experience is that some apps don't support certain version of the Android OS and will prompt you with that error.

Google installer on MiStore gone

Good day, all,

finally took the plunge and got myself a mipad... now... after updating the OS, it looks like the google installer app on Mistore is now gone... so the path to get Google play store etc is no longer there...

so... is there an alternative way to get this in? side loading the apk should be ok.. just I can't seems to find the author's page or any other download sites.

Price is close and similar to some major brand in the market. No point to get this one as processor type is not popular now a day.
