Need advice on Taichung

HI all. Need help on places to tour/visit in Taichung. Will be travelling in a group of 4. So far only know of FengJia night market.. Done some search on the internet already But still would like to hear advice from here on where to go in Taichung. Will be staying 2-3 days.

Gaomei wetlands super far. need take two buses there. The place is nice to see. But bus timing limited, so maybe abt one hour then have one bus.
travelling is 2 hours one way .

can also go feng jia nm, taiwan largest nm . many nice food to eat.
if u stay taichung railway station that area, can cab there abt 25min , 220 ntd.
take bus is abt 30+ stops or more, abt 1 hour ...

Will be going in mid Apr, 3 days in Taichung as well.

Day 1 - Miyahara, Yizhong St & Fengjia NM
Day 2 - Engaged driver from 9am to 6pm - 中社觀光花市, Lavender Cottage, 菇神 & 新社莊園
Day 3 - Sun Moon Lake (T.B.C)

We'll be heading to Cingjing thereafter for one night minsu stay and proceed to Taipei the next day.

If you talking about Taichung city, then the main highlight will be Fengjia, yizhong street and Miya something selling goodies and ice cream.

If outskirt, then try Cingjing... recommended place...

hey guys.. how many days will u all recommend to stay in taichung?

i was thinking 2 nights in taichung and 1 night in cingjing. any other place nearby that is good? hualien got anything worth to stay overnight? i have 9 nights in taiwan.. intend to stay 3-4 nights in taipei.. if taichung not much then i will probably head downwards to kaohsiung and kending..

Taichung city i personally feel only Fengchia Night market is fun... For me, i like scenery and local food so I rather spend more time like cingjing, SML, Alishan etc.

Maybe planning cingjing farm for my upcoming taipei ...
went before fengjia and gao mei shi di ...super far. took 2bus for 2 hrs one way ...

then fengjia is better to take cab,25min, abt 220ntd.
we initially took a bus which is abt 40stops ....
super far, 1hr ....
then when we went bcak, the cab told us and those waiting at the bus stop, wanna share cab or not, then is more worth ...

so the msia couple and us got into the cab, whereas the 2hk gals hestiated, and didnt managed to get into the cab. coz that time was 11pm liao ..
think no more bus going to taichung railway station already.
coz we 4 of us wanna go taichung railway station that area, as our hotels are there .

How to skip taroko when from cingjing need to go hualien?
U may need to go back taichung take train to hualien...

From CingJing to Hualien if drive will surely pass by Taroko. You either pit stop at Hehuanshan to go toilet or before Taroko also must go toilet and foods.

Taroko National Park scenery is very magnificent, only 2 walks, 1st one last about 45 minutes and the 2nd one last about 20 minutes and THAT'S ALL.

4 persons buy fresh cod fish, live prawns, bamboo clam, a type of shellfish with texture better than abalone, 2 vegetables and 1 fried egg big enough to feed 6 persons for SGD$60.

Then those like shopping must also go "Yi Zhong Jie", the girls will be very happy.

My accommodation in Taiching was 5 minutes walk from Fengchia Night Market, spend the entire evening/night there. Eat eat drink drink look look see see buy buy buy...
