Hi Sineoji,

I have a pair of 1800E homeplug, and download average only 170mpbs, on my 200mpbs subscribed speed. In fact it is about the same when using the older 600EG which I also have.

So how to fine tune this 1800E. Thanks.

Dear steelpipe,

Our support staff visited your premises this evening to assist you in the upgrading of the firmware. In addition, there were some fine-tuning done at the living hall to relocate the 2 power extension sockets, consolidating them into one and have it plugged through the pass through of the homeplug.

Your fibre broadband speed is 200Mbps. Measure the speed test via the Sineoji 1800, your download speed is 170Mbps as compared to 120Mbps initially.

Hope everything is well.

Do not hesitate to contact us should you require any further assistance.

Thank you for using Sineoji HomePlug Powerline.

Sineoji

Yup, very satisfied with the fine tuning suggested by Dean.

Service beyond measure!

Many thanks!

Dear urorax,

Please see my answers to your queries.

1) Will my PC be able to realize the full potential of the PL1800EP?

I suggest to have this setup configuration in your room.

Sineoji 1800- 5 port gigabit switch - ethernet devices and PC
Sineoji PL500EW - extends your wireless coverage

2) Will the PL500EW and PL504E lower the performance of the PL1800EP?
You do not need the PL504E if you have a 5 Port gigabit switch connected via the Sineoji 1800. Having just the PL500EW will not impact your resultant throughput.

3) Will the PL500EW boost the wireless WIFI signal in my room?
Yes, it will boost your wifi.

4) I have to use the PL504E because I need the 4 ports for my media devices. Will there be a 1800mbps pass through homeplug like the PL1800EP but with 4 ports in the future?
Not at the moment.

5) Are there any charges if you guys come down to my place and diagnose the optimal setup for the Sineoji homeplugs?
We do not charge anything as this is a value add service we provide.

6) I will be changing ISP in a few months. Is it all right if I purchase the Sineoji homeplugs and keep them first then call you guys to help diagnose the optimal power sockets and setup the homeplugs once my new fibre plan is ready?
Yes, not a problem. Just keep me posted and I will have our staff come over.

7) All Sineoji homeplugs come with 3 years warranty?
Yes it covers under 3 years warranty.

When it is ready, just contact us and we will have our staff come over to your residence to configure and set it up to attain the optimum throughput after diagnosing your powerlines.

Sineoji

Hi Sineoji. Thank you for your prompt reply. You've answered all my questions. I appreciate that very much. Last question - Is there any gigabit switch that you can recommend? For example, which are best in compatibility for your Sineoji products? Thank you! :)

4urorax,

I guessed most 5 port gigabit switch will be able to do the job.

Cheers,

Hi, I am currently running view quest fibre. When i connect my lan directly to my laptop, i get 550mbps (up) & 400mbps (down) respectively.

However, when I am using TP Link 500mbps plugs (tested 4 of them individually at various points in the house), they all gave me roughly 50mbps (up) & 30mbps (down).

Do you think its my existing home wires that is causing this? Living in a 4year old BTO flat with 90SQM.

Will Sineoji plugs gives me a much better rate? Can I arrange to test?

W3iw3n,

It could be the powerlines. Having said that, that's where the Sineoji 1800Mbps kicks in with the MIMO feature to leverage the earth, live and neutral to optimise the bandwidth.

I can schedule our staff to come over to your residence to conduct a measurement and diagnosis of your powerlines.

PM a number where I can reach you.

kcleong88,

What is the speed rates showing on the flash tool ?

Sineoji

Hi Sineoji,

The link speed rate is about 1200tx/1200rx. And I am getting actual of speed about 170/220 updown, or about 15%.

And if plug into the router direct, the speedtest is 220/220 updown.
So is this the optimum ?

Thanks.

kcleong88,

If your link speed rate is 1200/1200, you should be getting full subscribed speed of 200Mbps up and down.

We have to diagnose the local and remote point, is there a number where I can reach you ?

dankoo,

It will be better to avoid any combination as this will not optimize and provide any improvements. The PL1800EP has a frequency band of 2-86Mhz whereas the other is 2-68Mhz.

Sineoji

Thanks for the reply. I am thinking of just changing out my current ones and using PL1800EP. Anyway for your guys to help to come down and check out my line first?

:s13:, first time I see this happening in reality. How did that happen? Left the default network name as it is?

Windwaver.
The default home plug workgroup is HomePlugAV. When another pair of home plugs with the same workgroup name is connected to the network, it will be synchronised.
