Tried typing on it.

That's no feedback (aka no sound of key pads being depressed) and will hurt when one types quickly.

Opening apps is slower compared to other macs.

Better wait for a few more versions later for Apple to refine it.

anyone knows where (physical store) to buy the USB adapter?
You should able to get it at NuBox. I just bought the USB-C to USB Adapter @NuBox Bedok.
Btw AppleSg online store for USB-C cable and power adapter are all in-stock except for those Multiport adapters (3-5 weeks).

Your experience is quite different from ALL the tech reviews I've read so far.

Mostly are favorable. Only common gripe is the single USB-C port and some concerning the newly design keyboard (having to get used to it, nothing about operational issues) and the base unit of 1.1 GHz may be slow for more intensive tasks like heavy video and photo editing and also some games. Otherwise for daily tasks it's excellent.

Here's a review to read: http://blog.laptopmag.com/12-inch-macbook-myths

My personal test (demo unit) so far has been very good as far as the keyboard and Force Touch trackpad usage are concerned. And I have no issue with the speed of opening the apps. It's definitely NOT slower. As far as I know, it's SDD speed is even faster than the competition.

So if you can afford and you need it or want it, go ahead and buy. But if you can wait then why not? Next version should be better and cheaper. As for me, I need it and want it. So I've already ordered 1.3GHz.

EpiCentre might just have it. They are usually ahead of NuBox I think.
The ION branch it's the best. It should be almost the first to have it.

My my, well done Mod, pui. Seems like mod is trying to protect Apple new macbook. Now I'm amused. I don't give a F and I'm still posting. Delete all you want whoever cowardice heh.

In depth review of macbook 2015 and slight comparison with 13" macbook pro 2015

https://youtu.be/DPKk3WL_vTY

And this one, look how weak the new macbook is even tho it's PCIE SSD and 256gb compared to Macbook Air at just 128gb. Take note that by right PCIE 256gb should have read and write speed of 1200++mb/s like my 13" macbook pro 2015, you can see how it is sub par or bottlenecked hy cpu.

https://youtu.be/ZgED2kD9Ahs

And I've had tried the new keyboard as well, and I can say it totally sucks to have almost zero travel feedback, I don't understand how some people could say it is okay to type on it, it is literally like typing on a touchscreen.

If you die die want buy this, given the nice screen and probability, just get the base model. That 0.2ghz gain that cost you $350 is not worth it and you will barely notice the difference. Unless you are super rich or sponsored by whoever and could spend $2500 on 1.3ghz max model, sorry I am laughing.

PS: You can say all you want, but facts are just facts, which something you can't deny but just to accept it. Believe me I am more than eagerly anticipating this new Macbook than any other people and I've come to the point that I got myself the Macbook pro 2015. I might not be the strongest man on the planet but I'm sure I can handle that extra 600g of weight, it's not like we are carrying a 4kg having laptop to begin with heh :)

of course its weak if you are comparing it to a macbook pro 2015. its like comparing a toyata to a ferrari and saying the toyota is weak? if its used for basic stuff such as browsing, email, music and some youtube, i supposed its more than enough.

simply, if you are looking at running northsouth highway at a speed of 250km/h, obviously you dont get a toyota. (a toyota without radiator somemore)

and technology breakthrough have to start somewhere. first gen macbook air had only 1 usb port and no cdrom drives.

importing 20gb worth of photos in the new photo app on the macbook 2015 indeed took me a significant amount of time more as compared to macbook air 2013. however converting a 30min video clip using xilisoft took me 5min as compare to a 15min on a macbook air 2013.

Frankly speaking, some of us prefer a machine with retina, slim and light weight machine and don't need a mbp for high cpu intensive apps. Seriously it's each of its own. If can afford it then buy. All of us here are mature enough to know what we want. Don't have to come here to justify ur own purchase and divide the forum. If you have the mbp retina 2015 or MacBook retina just enjoy it. Nobody is denying the mbp retina is a very powerful machine. However some people just dun need to such a powerful machine.

Yup I know, and I do agreed that this macbook might be a good approach, but bottlenecked by Intel CPU, yeah I do remember the first time when Steve Job introduce the Macbook Air, it was kind of horrible experience too lol.

Converting should be faster on the new macbook as it is more GPU intensive not CPU.

I am not trying to justify the Macbook pro. I am here to support what bro erwinrommel and Sebbyng is explaining as we do know there are tons of people viewing here without posting anything. So lead to possibly misleading, since HWZ is so popular for tech heh.

Bro Sebbyng quoted:
"Your experience is quite different from ALL the tech reviews I've read so far."

By this he meant that whatever bro erwinrommel mentioned was false, which in the case it is absolutely genuine. For example, the keyboard, like I mentioned it is 1 of the worst keyboard I've used so far. There is a reason why Apple made the keys so large (in order to improve typing accuracy due to almost zero travel). Also boosting that the keys are more bright due to individual lightning is also another crap, there is no light leakage on the keys because there is simply no "Travel" distance for the light to be leaked. Look at how smart Apple is at marketing gimmcks

But the processor has been shown to be not powerful enough for simple applications like chrome.

And it has like 6 hr battery life.

The ux305 or dell xps 13 are better picks.

This one looks like a fast netbook with a high end screen.

Erm you are partially correct. The UX305 uses a lower clock Intel Core M at 800mhz turbo to 2ghz ompared to New Macbook 1.1ghz turbo to 2.4ghz, coupled with the PCIE SSD compared to Asus it will definitely faster, MOST importantly, it is Mac OS X Yosemite, the OS plays a big part in optimization, also Safari is a very well optimized Browser under OS X.

I am still trying to find a review that shows performance of Chrome under Mac OS X on the new macbook, not battery life, altho it sucks to be not able to use Chrome on a Mac OS, having all my tabs and settings synced to my Google account, 1 click to open up all my tabs is so wonderful on my desktop, but due to chrome on Mac isn't that great I can't use it.

I do agreed that UX305 or Yogo Pro 3 with 800mhz Intel Core M processor are almost impossible to use, but you can't compare it with New macbook due to the higher clocks. But if you say in price wise, the Macbook is super expensive but also the design over UX305 is significantly better, 900gram vs 1.2kg

And you definitely shouldn't be using Chrome on Mac:

http://www.theverge.com/2015/4/10/8381447/chrome-macbook-battery-life

PS: I do not want to dwell into the Dell new XPS 13, I am 1 of the first user and I've refunded it due to some circuit design issues.
