anyone any idea a fast and relatively less painful way to break into a pair of new shoes? its just too painful to wear the whole day at work

If it's utterly unbearable, MAYBE you nailed the shoe sizing incorrectly.

But if you're absolutely certain that's the correct sizing, then that's just the way it is. One can't speed the process as the intention of "break-in" period is to conform the last to your feet; and not the other way round.

You can alleviate your misery by wearing wool/cashmere(or even silk) socks (if in the first instance you didn't) to maximise breathability and comfort. Bresciani and Pantherella socks manufacturers are good options.

I am going to tell anyone whoever next ask about Rad Rusell, Pedro and other common shopping centre mens' shoes, to go ahead and buy them.

Because if they do not bother to read the past posts or google search, then they deserve to get whatever internet advice an anonymous person can give them.

Yes, not really good. But what are the good buy at this price range? For something to wear during a rainy day.

Rain won't kill your shoes luh, more so esp if you polish them with wax. "Ponding" is a different story though :D

But as to your qns, Bata ambassadors

Yes, thank you, I thought Bata is good also. That shop at Peninsula always has some nice selection not available anywhere else. Good to check it out.

I actually know someone who purchase those No.3 black shoes from the S*F e-mart as beater shoes.

No. 3 shoes is still presentable.

Wait till you saw those wearing SAF combat/Gortex boots on weekend, paired with jeans..... not sure if they're standing by for ops manning..... :s22:

Talking about SAF boots, arcfire interested to work on patina project? Mine are the pre-gortex era leather boots. Only thing is I wonder if it's possible to strip off the black colour easily
