how much will It cause?

An Omega moon watch with metal bracelet will cost ~ $6.8k.

If I remember correctly, the AD doesn't bring in moon watch with leather strap, so you will need to factor in the cost of getting a leather strap and the price varies based on type and quality of leather, etc.

the most vanilla 2k diver would be a seiko marinemaster 300.

Not really feeling the seiko mm300.

Currently leaning towards the aquis date or Mido multifort.
Wouldn't mind the aquis date as I wouldn't change the bracelet. Any recommendation where to shop for it?

Thanks.

Haha i also dunno.

the moment you walk out of the shop with a blancpain,
thats like 50% value gone

Granted the design of the blancpain is unmatched.
But i'd pick value over design anyday

I see. Resale value is not a factor at all in my suggestion to triste and i doubt it's of concern to him either. Unless u can afford and have access to really exotic pieces, picking value over design limits ur collection pretty much to holy trinity, rolex and pam.

And oh yes.

“There’s something one should expect not only of a watch, but also of oneself: To never stand still.” -Walter Lange of. A. Lange & Söhne

Which is why I'm such a huge huge fan of them, over Patek.

Never stand still.

Probably has been discussed to death at some point in time, but when you're not wearing your automatics, do you put it in a winder? I recently brought my watch for servicing, and was advised against it as it supposedly wears out the parts unnecessarily.

Between the hassle of winding it up and adjusting time/date again and the possibility of wearing out the parts prematurely, which do you choose? :s13:
