Probably has been discussed to death at some point in time, but when you're not wearing your automatics, do you put it in a winder? I recently brought my watch for servicing, and was advised against it as it supposedly wears out the parts unnecessarily.

Between the hassle of winding it up and adjusting time/date again and the possibility of wearing out the parts prematurely, which do you choose? :s13:

convenience for me. I've got all my watches in winders. :D

haven't kena the sexpensive servicing yet, except for my wife's longines which didn't turn out to be too bad after 5 years. $100 per year of wearing it, inclusive of replacing the sapphire crystal.

lol my 2 prized possessions are manual winding. haha
so just wind it up. its a relationship you build with your time pieces.
haha and heng no date for both of mine. lol

even my seiko auto also just wear and let it run. wanted a winder but gave up the idea. haha too huge.

An Omega moon watch with metal bracelet will cost ~ $6.8k.

If I remember correctly, the AD doesn't bring in moon watch with leather strap, so you will need to factor in the cost of getting a leather strap and the price varies based on type and quality of leather, etc.

$6850 to be exact.
i got mine grey at $4XXX
brand new in box

I prefer this version. the RG one around 40+50
the stainless steel one 30+
but pre-owned cheaper. lol
just dreaming only
for you it's possible NAO

Hi guys,

So I'm seriously considering getting a Deepsea from SWX.

However, knowing that there will be a risk of buying a fake.

How to I tell a fake right from the start?

Saving me the hassle and money to have it authenticated?

Thanks!

U rather believe us than to spend $107 for the authenticity of a > 10K watch?

Not to say that people here aren't trustworthy (in fact most of the guys here seem to be pretty nice folks), but let's just say some $ not worth saving, espec when considering the proportion of the incremental cost to your overall cost and peace of mind that you would receive going to RSC.
