JP Diamond

Hi guys , after reading quite a no. of pages , it seems the review for JP seems legit, but there's some question im just curious.

1) JP diamond seems somewhat slightly over price -
*around how many % overprice (standard cut & solasfera)
*is there a significant difference between super ideal and ideal cut ?

2) im still thinking whether getting standard cut 57/58 or solasfera cut 66
*heard modify cut is more expensive during purchase & lower selling price when selling the stone.

3) Actually how big should a diamond be ? cause i was thinking of getting 1 carat, but after thinking its just a stone that's not worn daily, makes me think whether i should cut down on the carat to get a more decent wedding band with diamonds again =_= ? or can i just combine engagement ring into a wedding band ? lol

2) I cant reply to your question1, but for question 2, you mean you are thinking of selling the ring away? if not I dont think the selling price matter, different cuts means different kind of sparkle.

3) If you have the budget, you can go as big as you want, if your fiancee finger is slim, a 0.7 works the same, you can save the $ and a more elaborated ring setting that will steal all attention when its worn. Normally girls would prefer to have both e-ring and wedding band HAHA, atleast thats for me! Unless you are able to get a ring like xiaxue that can double up as both band and e-ring since the setting is pretty broad.

Very unflattering shots of the ring, doesn't do justice to the diamond!!! am patiently waiting for Jannpaul to send me photos of the ring taken under their professional photo taking techniques.

But I is super love the ring setting! Didn't customise as I prefer simple design as I wish the diamond to be the main attraction rather then the setting. Lols, But i find 0.46 kinda small, hopefully able to upgrade in the near future!

im not very sure whose xiaxue , cause in the event of divorce, unfortunately if , at least she have some extra cash if she were to sell away the diamond ma.

Okie, i go see see if can double up as engagement ring and wedding band , hopefully wouldnt get kp by her cause frankly speaking buying a stone then not wearing it like a bit weird for the matter of fact cause diamond is 1 of the hardest stone on earth , so i hardly doubt it will chip or something.

nice ring, what's the spec ? so you wear it as per normal ? ok ma , the engagement ring can be wear for normal use , then why the need to buy wedding band ? LOL !!!!

Nice ring congratulations . I also think slim plain band with diamond alone will make the diamond bigger and nicer .. but too bad my gf only like thick band especially 2band twist with mini diamond.. can't wait for my 3d photo. Guess will receive it next week

Maybe I can help with point 1.

They are more of a value for money for the quality. The Super ideal cut is the best quality but you don't have to pay a ridiculous price for it.. Like if you see the Ideal Cuts from Lee Hwa, the 0.7ct is about 20k already. Whereas in JP, you are assured of the quality with the scopes and its much cheaper. I'm not sure about the Solasfera. The Brellia I got was almost the same price as the Super ideal.

Haiyo! Haven even buy a ring and propose now thinking of divorce, don't be so pessimistic man!

But why won't she wear it? I personally wear it daily unless I go to the beach or anything. It's 0.46, E colour clarity VVS1. I wear it with my wedding band daily. Show you a photo.

Wearing just the e-ring with simple setting is really abit plain and doesn't feel as "real" as wearing both =P

And I personally feel lah! If you just wear the e-ring, people will know this woman is engage, but with an additional ring, means this woman is married HAHAHAHA!

Did Vivo show you any scope images of the diamond? Using the ASET and IDEAL Scope?

Hi Lynn
The rings look nice on you. Congrats!! Did you get the wedding band from JP as well? What is the thickness of the band and how much? I'm thinking of getting simple rounded bands like yours :)

Thanks cookietanhl!!! Nope I didnt get my band from JP, I got it from a normal goldsmith shop =) Cause it was just normal 18k white gold. JP selling about $500-$600 plus whereas I got mine at $380.

Thickness of the band is 3mm =)

Hahahaha, but different girls think differently, so it's not safe to put my thinking on your fiancee's thinking =P

Like my friend, she would rather get a lower carat ring cause she wants a Tiff & Co e-ring from her fiance, but in my thinking, I rather spend the $$ on a better quality diamond cause noone will be able to know the brand of your ring in one look =P

google vivo diamonds, its at tanjong pagar. its good to visit JP first before going to vivo. cos it seems like jp's educational lesson is much more detailed.
