Last I asked about 0.7ct to 0.7ct super ideal cut colour D-F, they quoted $7k to $10k lols.

You can just call JP directly for appointment, you get a faster response =)

Installment wise I cant advice liaos

Thanks for replying! Just got their e-mail reply. Is it safe to use Bluenile as a price benchmark then?

I am not very familiar with Bluenile actually, I went to their site before but still feels that I should take a look at the diamond itself then compare prices. After you go down for the diamond education, you can compare the HCA scores with the ones from JP and Bluenile with the similar specs. From there, you roughly have an idea of the brilliance of the diamond. But you can't see the ASET & IDEAL scope of the diamonds at Bluenile.

Black_Hippo actually bought one from Bluenile, not sure if it has arrived. Maybe can PM him and check more infor with him?

This is an overdue review for JannPaul. I give them 2 big thumbs up for their service and education. I went to JP last year to recce and was served by Lionel. Before I went for the appointment, I told them beforehand that I’m there just to see and won’t be buying. Even after this, Lionel was still very friendly and gave me fantastic service. Being in the service line myself, I was surprised as most sales people will give half-hearted effort after knowing that the customer won’t buy. He was very patient with me and is quite a funny guy. It took me some time to digest his teachings but it was easy to understand compared to reading alone.

After 1 year I scheduled an appointment with JP again and they actually remembered me and still had my records! Although all the diamonds I viewed was sold already.. haha. Lionel helped me again. After 1 year, I forgotten most of the things I learnt and he gave me a refresher. So he gave me the education.. again.. haha.

It's not easy to digest all of it in one sitting, but you get a much better perspective on diamonds.

They have an equipment to let you compare the diamond in different lights called the “Diamond Dock”. You can see how the diamond perform with 2 types of light effects. If you can, visit their shop in the afternoon. You can ask them to show you the diamonds outside the shop too.

They were showing me the traditional cushion diamond with the cushion brellia.
This is when its under Led lights which is those usual display lights.

and fluorescent lights. Traditional cushion looks disorganized in a sense. It like made up of many small random shards.

This is the Aset scope of both diamonds. Big big difference...
The traditional cushion is cut completely different and with major light leakages too.

The traditional cushion diamond is on the right side. Because of the light leakages, you can see like a window effect on the diamond. At that part, you are literally seeing through the diamond.

Lionel placed both the diamonds on his drawings and showed me the light leakage effect. In the light leakage cushion, you can see his blue ink handwriting through the diamond. Whereas you can't see it through the Brellia at all. Which is good because a diamond is supposed to reflect light!

Will update with more pics when I have the time.

Thanks Scylla! I just find it a bit too pricey and having post purchase dissonance now. :/

Anyone has similar specs and share how much you got yours?

How much did you pay it for? But do bear in mind there is a big price jump once the carat goes beyond 0.5 =) I have a 0.46 E VVS1 $3.5k.

When I was thinking of upgrading my diamonds, I was quoted the below pricing, maybe you want to take a look and drop the clarity?

0.55 E VS2
Price: $4550

0.58 D VS2
Price: $5050

0.60 F VS2
Price: $5400

0.62 E VS2
Price: $5650

0.60 D VS2
Price: $5850

Upgrade go for more Mah, otherwise no one will notice it. Try for those 0.67 to 0.69, which are still in the 0.5 to 0.7 price bracket.. Wallet not so pain
