Don't you think we are being overly paranoid with screen protectors and casing? I mean think of it, glass resists scratches a lot more than plastic. Just ask your friends who wear specs.
Unless you are crazy enough to intentionally scratch your phone's screen, I just don't see how under normal usage the screen can get scratched. For casing I can still understand as the back of the phone could get scratched (even if slightly) each time you place it on a table, but a casing for a WATCH?
Ever since iPhone 4 I have been following the herd and getting screen protectors and casings. iPhone 4, iPhone 5, Note 3 and iPhone 6+. My current phone is Note Edge and I went totally naked with it. Its been almost a year now. The screen is perfectly fine. Not a single scratch. The casing is not scratched too though there is what appears to be a small ink stain, probably from my pen.
So yes, to each his own and I'm not saying its wrong to buy casings and screen protectors but I really wonder if our paranoia is getting the better of us. Obviously the manufacturers of casings and screen protectors will psycho you to buy so they can earn money. But IS IT really needed?
I used to think so but after almost a year with a naked phone, I really wonder. Especially for those of us who buy high end protectors and casings which can cost a lot. Is it really worth the investment considering many of us change phones within 2 years, some of us even every year.
