wait for offer from lazada, $60+ with delivery

then go fb grp "tv box sg" and read up how to install the apps

dnt need spend $100+

Just search lazada, there are 2 types, the black 3rd gen and the colourful mini 4th gen. Are you guys using the black one? Any big difference between the 2?

When will there be a $60 promo?

Thanks. Why not the mini one?

Btw, new to lazada, is it like ebay or qoo10 where there are different sellers. If so, which seller you recommend?

It seems everyone's going for the black one so i thought must be some important technical difference. Otherwise, the smaller mini looks cuter and more colourful to me, plus it is 4th gen, means latest model compared to 3rd gen?

hmmz.... the xiaomi box is back in stock alr

http://www.lazada.sg/xiaomi-mi-box-3-quad-core-android-44-smart-tv-4k-hd-box-783677.html

was out of stock for a moment.... wait for 15% DBS or Citibank or Mastercard then can hoot alr~

Isn't it cheaper here? http://list.qoo10.sg/item/FREE-GIFT-SINGAPORE-SELLER-4TH/425894428

Especially with Qoo10's SG50 50% off discount coupon (and other coupons) -- about $66 after discount (and lesser if you have more coupons and points).

Just a quick question: I'm only buying this for my Mandarin-speaking grandparents. Any recommended apps to download for Chinese shows or Mandarin-DUBBED Korean/Japanese/whatever else dramas?

Just a quick question: I'm only buying this for my Mandarin-speaking grandparents. Any recommended apps to download for Chinese shows or Mandarin-DUBBED Korean/Japanese/whatever else dramas?

for chinese shows, can use 热门电视剧 (hotdrama2) but i think this app needs a mouse. the user interface is in chinese

for those apps that use the mibox remote, u can also install kodi, then these add ons: drama24h, AZdrama, DramaGo. These 3 apps hv TVB dramas in canto voice and chi sub. dramago is the most updated n has the latest shows. azdrama and maybe drama24h hv some korean drama dubbed in canto. but not many and these dramas are quite old.

the downside to using these 3 is that the user interface is in eng, so might be hard for ur grandparents

last option is u install chinese aggregator apps like 电视猫(More TV), 布丁视频 (Pudding TV). can use both mouse and mibox remote. these apps have TVB, jap , kor drama. tvb drama are avail in canto voice and chi voice. but jap and kor dramas are not mandarin dubbed. also such apps might be hard for your grandparents to use coz a drama may hv multiple sources (different streaming sources eg. tudou, youku, letv etc). some sources are laggy in sg. some are smooth. so hv to trial and error to find which sources are good
