The most important question is: can Sony mobile camera finally match up [note: I won't dare use the word "surpass"] to the quality of Samsung/Apple/LG flagship, on superior auto mode :s8:?

lol.

AUTO mode?

LOL.

sheesh.. i was kinda hoping the scanner takes the place of the former magnetic charging port area.....

the volume rocker seems to be placed rather low for comfortable operation :(

do fingerprint scanner work on index fingers? else lefty/ left pocket users might not be pleased

What if it allows for 360 screen rotation? The leaked pictures doesn't seem to have the Sony logo so maybe that's the intention?

From my first impression,

Sure, the new longish button is welcomed, cos looks nice and new, smtg diff from the old.

But immediately I thought, where is the pressure point of the button? I mean.... Under the long button, is the pressure point right in the middle? Ie, if u press on either of the extreme end, then it doesnt sense anything or do u have to press hard down? Or is the pressure point uniform?

Right now, the circular design of the round button doesnt have any flaws. Its small and round, and its pressure point is evenly spread. U press abit only, u'll get the reaction u're seeking.

If previously it was this long button and then they changed it to the current small round button, mindless blind fanboys would equally excite "yay! Newer and smaller! So its better!"

Dun get me wrong, I'm a fanboy myself :s13:

http://www.xperiablog.net/2015/08/27/xperia-z5-press-pictures-emerge-23mp-camera-confirmed/

Sony Mobile’s social media channels inadvertently published a few press pictures of the upcoming Xperia Z5 flagship earlier today. The handset is due to be formally unveiled at IFA 2015 next Wednesday, but you can get a first glimpse of the handset below. The pictures match the leaks we have already seen to date and confirm that the latest Xperia flagship will have a 1/2.3-inch 23MP Exmor RS camera.

But i will only buy after my Z3 gone case

Some of the other hardware components mentioned on the post includes the presence of a 23-megapixel camera on each of the devices. The camera will reportedly come with f/1.8 aperture, a large 1/2.2-inch sensor and feature a “super-fast 0.1-second hybrid 192 PDAF autofocus”. The post also mentioned OIS, but it wasn’t immediately clear if the feature will be available on all three models. There will also apparently be a fingerprint scanner, and the post also mentions the presence of a large battery in the Z5 Premium.
