Look classic! Have you admire this watch in a dark room? It illuminates beautifully

I have been wanting to buy a classic looking watch. To some, this watch may be a 'Ah Pek' watch. But, love the clean dial and retro feel.

Surprisingly, it can be worn with formal and casual clothes.

A qn for rolex users and owners? How come Rolex lume quality not as good as it seems ah..

My GMT got grey patches in the lume on several of the indexes

I posted this in WUS..Figured here would be a good place.

I recently got a white milaguss with some lume issues

The orange lume doesnt seem to fill the black borders perfectly. Its not a perfect rectangle lume

Look at the 10 oclock and 3 oclock index at the bottom, there is a lump of orange lume sticking out from the black border.

The 1 oclock index also has some excess material on the black border.

Is this the nature of the way the lume is filled? When the lume dries up , a portion of it slips into the black border? Cannot be avoided?

Dont think i would go for a trip to RSC, but are these minor stuff normal?

I think lume pics in dark background will provide a better basis for folks to comment on such an issue? Lume quality (brightness within the designated 'area') n lume finishing (how even the lume looks when not illuminated) are slightly diff issues, though ideally both should be tip-top.. But quality would be more impt to me if i had to choose 1.

Can't remember if it was also u who posted about issues of dust in the dial after servicing?

it was me but thats another watch.

I will try to get a lume shot soon.

Lume quality is ok as far as i know the previous time i checked before the purchase.

My concern now is excess orange lume material on the black borders. Not something i expect from a Rolex but its still a beautiful timepiece :D

Might be a defect. Bring it back to the AD or rsc.

speaking of mods, have anyone modded their rolex ? For e,g swapping a BLNR bezel with a normal all black Bezel ? Swapping the GMT hand with a diffrent color?

Haha abit lar, but for the price I am paying , I expect better.

GS my main concern is servicing , have to rely solely on Thong Sia. No others can service it I think.

Mainstream brands easier to service.
