Anyone knows how to minimise the nub marks on plated kit like phenex mg?

will the Gold gundam marker work?
I have a GM04 marker which I just opened, but the ink is blackish brown (not sure if its because its been in storage for too long)

Anyone bought the Dm akatsuki? not sure if I should gloss or matte it

What my friend did for his set of Phenex was hand paint the nub marks with gold paint and used some of the decals to cover them up.

after applying water decal , can just seal with flat coat (my choice) ?

personally speaking i dun really use setter at all when it comes to decal, but i do use softer to melt the decals into shape as sometimes the decals will be placed over curved edges or over panel lines.

If you are using 3rd party water slides, it is recommended to apply the setter on the piece before applying the decal.

Also, it depends on did you applied a first coating layer before the decal application, if you do, then setter is a must.

using bandai decal.
previous experience, gloss coat it then apply softer + setter. ended pretty badly as some (bandai) decal melted.
this round didnt apply coating. soak in water then apply on top of (semi gloss) paint. decal lining not so obvious (acceptable for me). except that one small piece of decal drop off but stick back already. but not sure if should apply softer on it, only worry if it melt the whole piece :s22:
so i can apply my flat coat after this ? :s11:

Apply the coat once you are done with the decals, this coat(s) will protect your decals as well.
