imagine would I still admire the phone if the built is plastic?

Haha. I will likely admire it more if the build is plastic for it will likely mean there's replaceable battery and SDcard! And the PC plastic Samsung uses is tougher than metal/glass. The build/material is of no concern to me since it will be in a case anyway. Maybe I''m an outlier.

Honestly, the battery life is better than iPhone 6plus. (My gf uses that). And now she is in love with my note 5, especially for the camera and s-pen.. this s-pen really does enhance the overall experience a lot, let alone productivity. I'm a heavier user than her and my fone last longer. Plus there is fast charging, both wired and wireless.. Haha. And not to mention, the screen is super nice..

sorry I used to come from Apple some years back.. and I truly never turn back to ios.. and don't miss it.. in my daily life I come into contact with both apple and android, and I just like android more for the freedom and customization.. I use both macbook and PC at work for different assignments.

Anyway, I'm not a fan boy or what, but will go for whatever suits my usage and whichever is better in terms of battery life, customization, camera, and especially productivity... and I never regret one bit switching to android from ios..

Just sharing my 2 cents.. :)

iOS so jialiat ah?? In fact, I'm thinking to get the upcoming iPhone 6s to try since I have been with Android for a very long time and starting to get bored of it. I don't customized at all. Using phones as they are right out of the box. Even with current Note 4, I'm not having any bad experiences with the Touchwiz while lots are commenting that Touchwiz is bad. :s13:

Anyway, I will look at the pricing again by the time when I'm eligible to recontract. If the pricing are close between Note 5 and iPhone 6s offered by telcos, most probably I will try an iPhone - since both Note 5 and iPhone are so similar and without removal battery and microSD.

If you looking on the OS, apple will be the choice for you.

Me too.. On android for so long thinking of going back to ios. Do you find that with every update the phone seems to get more bugs? Although this note 5 is very tempting but the thing about Samsung phones is that it tends to get laggier and more bugs after 1 year

Just some quick impressions on audio quality for music.
In short ,its fantastic. Read on for long story

Moving away from a dedicated audio rig to a minimalist setup, I depend on my phone now for audio playback and hope it's got quality.

Previously I enjoyed the galaxy s2 with its wolfson DAC and it was pretty good.
Then Samsung started using the snapdragon chipset and it just sounded bad, so I switched to a dedicated DAP but still craved the convenience of a minimalist setup.

Using the noble audio BTS Bluetooth adapter hooked to my noble audio K10 and flac played via power amp is my current setup.

Streaming through the 6plus was good ,it used a cirrus logic DAC....but I just didn't like the it's platform and went for the G4 and once again, the snapdragon DAC shows its clear inferiority, hollow mids and bass lost its punch.

No back on the note 5 with its exynos chipsets and wolfson DAC, I'm very very happy. The Wolfson DAC is comparable or I daresay even better than then 6plus and the the G4 is not even comparable at all.

Sounds is much fuller, tones across the board are presented nicely. Next thing I'll try is the native app with the UHQ sample turned on. My best minimalist setup to date

DAP
-cowon j3, z2
-Sony 1060
-Sony zx1

Phones
-s2
-note3
-iPhone 6plus
-g4
-honor 6 (work phone)

You know, I really feel it's a shame many Note users don't bother to learn their S-Pen, some never even take out before on their phone. It takes about an hour to practice and get used to it, and it will only increase your productivity at work or other real life stuff.

The S-Pen is seriously one of the best thing so far on a phone, so far no other competitor bother to have a good accurate pen. Tested the Note 5 at the store, it's even more accurate and responsive compared to the Note 3.

I've done so many awesome things with the S-Pen, like circle something on google map screenshot then whatsapp to friend, write some text on it, and it's only the tip of the iceberg.

Well said. I also don't use the S-pen. I buy the stylus that I like to use and use it with my note5.
