As far as I know,you can upgrade directly to Lollipop. If it isn't allowed, you should be prompted.

Just upgraded to lollipop from jb. But I upgraded using a pre-rooted zip file not ota. My ota prompt was for kitkat. So maybe for ota updates, need to go kitkat first. Not sure.
Running on lollipop, my phone does not heat up as much as when it was on jb. Especially when surfing net. But the icons now are too big, as if designed for elderly use lol.

hi, i mean the official update thru' OTA... Does that mean i will not get the 5.0.2 OTA update notification if i don't update to KK first? tks.

That's a different question from what you posted earlier.
Anyways, I'm not sure. Searched through XDA but no mention of this either. I think most people have already upgraded to KK before they got the OTA notification. Why don't you try updating via PC Companion, instead of via OTA? You should also wipe your data for such major upgrades, to minimize issues such as battery drain. As such, you might as well just do so via PC Companion.

Actually since u are intending to upgrade to lollipop, what is the issue of upgrading to kitkat first to get the lollipop prompt?

Anyone encounter this issue? When I click the power button to turn off the screen, for the first few seconds after screen go off, if I tap and hold the area of the screen where my lockscreen clock is placed, I will feel a vibrate which is actually turning on the option to change the clock design on the lock screen.

Not sure if anyone else here face this problem. I notice for the past 2-3 days my phone has problems opening apps. Click on the app and it will close immediately by itself Sometimes the phone will even shut off itself... I have yet to update to the lollipop, so not sure if its because of this...

No didn't encounter b4. Working fine b4 n after the update
Erm... My phone just suddenly died while charging and it turned very hot. I quickly let it cool down, and tried hard reset using power button + vol up but it did not work.
I tried plugging to power again and it did not work either... Any expert advice?

Completely cannot power on? Or is there some vibration (e.g. vibrate 3 times)? Or is there a red LED light? If completely cannot power on, then might have to send to service centre.
Nope. No vibration or LED light at all.
I am going to the service centre but was told over the phone that it will take 7 working days to diagnose the issue after I send in...
Hi Z users. I need urgent help. My Z just crashed 2 days ago, shut down by itself. Then when I turned the phone back on, all my accounts (exchange, facebook, whatsapp) all removed gone disappeared!
I managed to add back facebook and whatsapp ok le. But when i tried to add back exchange which I am using for work email and calendar, it does not appear in the default calendar app. As for email, emails do appear after adding back. But after that, all new emails dont come in anymore. I am quite sure all settings are correct. Fed up, i factory reset the phone to clean zero. Add back exchange account again, same thing email and calendar problem.
can anyone help?

After owning this phone for two years and 4 months, I think my battery is dying while playing clash of clans and the battery drains faster than the charger can charge it.
Any idea where I can get it replaced with original battery or whether i should get the M5 instead?
