ok, i try to clear cache memory also

bcos beside not able to unlock, sometime when i am whatsapp-ing, my keyboard become freezed also, no matter how i press the letter, the letter will 'pop-out', but it will not be typed out

using swipekey now

not sure issit also same root problem of the sleeping beauty

ive been getting the 'sleeping beauty' thing since the day i got the phone.. prolly a week or so now.

updated to the latest update, and cleared cache after. still getting it.
so lazy to do clean wipe and all that.

any bros out here managed to solve the issue? if yes then shed some light as to how you do it. dont wanna wipe my phone clean and only find out it still persists. lol

i found this thread discussing about sleepy beauty

Ok this is what worked for me.
1- Turn off your note 5
2- Press the volume up button and home button together
3- while keeping it pressed Press the power button
4-It will open The system screen find cache and clear it- (DO NOT DO ANYTHING ELSE) once its done choose the restart option
5- I also got a 33 to 40 mb update yesterday. Do not update from the fone use smart switch to update it will download a 1.4gb file meaning it will reinstall the system.

My fone for 2 days now is not freezing. before the problem occurred at least 5 to 6 times a day.

Just in case make a backup although i didn't loose any
data .

Let me know if it works for any of you.

at step 4 only can see 'wipe cache parition' nia. lol

not sure where to see the clear cache option

For a phone which is $280 ... a lot of things cannot complain loh ... I compare the M4 to my n5 ...

The M4 is lighter .. slimmer ... easier to hold ... also octa core ... 13MP rear ..5MP rear .. water resistance ... the ringtone loud enough for me to know the M4 is ringing ... LTE .. microSD up to 128GB .. Battery Endurance 81H

Really loh .. at this pricing ... this M4 is impressive. I can't wait for the M5 which is going to be out soon ... I surely buy ^^

My n5 which is about $800 more than the M4 ... what does it offer ? S-pen ? AMOLED ? Metallic Body ? Less bezel ? Battery Endurance 85H ?

Bro... sleeping beauty problem only comes in when your phone is asleep often and you are trying to wake it up occasionally :s13:
But you are right... so far after the update, I've not encountered it yet.

Joined the note 5 club not long ago. Have anyone experienced not being able to wake the phone up from locked mode only until pressing the home and lock button a few times? Sometimes the screen will just hang at the lock screen. This happens to me occasionally and its especially irritating when i need to make an urgent call.

Not sure if this is a common problem.

actually the "freezing" part issue i also kena from my note 3 AFTER update to lollipop.., sometimes i type half way also freeze for a while like 2 to 3 second.. is it becoz of 5.0 or onwards that will cause the "freezing" and sleeping issue?

Received my Note 5 64GB Black Sapphire yesterday (03 Sep)

First thing I did was to immediately update to the latest firmware and factory reset the phone

Used Smart Switch (PC version) to transfer everything from my Note 3 to Note 5

Been playing with it for a day now

So far, no issues (for now)

No "sleeping beauty" whatsoever

I am using the fingerprint unlock method

Hi where can we get the pc version of smart switch? Unfortunately i backed up data on my note 3 using kies n now cant restore onto the note 5.
Grateful for any advice on this
