expectation was high simply because it is an Apple product.

but if you benchmark it against other smart watch, the sale seem decent.
furthermore only iPhone users are able to use it thus limiting the market share from the start.

personally i don't see myself getting the apple watch simply because i am not a watch person even though i had few other apple product. never like wearing a watch.

Huh?

Did you read the article?

The latest update to IDC’s worldwide quarterly wearable device tracker puts Apple ahead of the pack with 3.6m Watches sold in the second quarter of this year. The next biggest smartwatch vendor was Samsung, with 600,000 of its Gear smartwatches sold, which makes Apple’s sales six times greater than its closest rival.

yes i read the article.

maybe my previous post wasn't clear.

my conclusion was if you compared it to other smart watch, apple watch isn't a fail. but the many so call analyst deem it as a fail because they had a higher expectation of apple.

do enlighten me if i misinterpreted the article.

I see.. because just now you said if compared to other watches, it seems decent, it's actually more than decent heh because 2 out of every 3 smart watch sold is an Apple Watch

But yeah got your point, the analysts kee siao one
They predict Apple Watch sales to hit 11m+

i don't think there will be a refresh at the upcoming sep event. the current one is less than 6months old. there are very few instant where an apple product is refreshed that quickly.

furthermore there isn't any rumor at the moment indicating that there might be an refresh and there isn't a tight inventory of it at the moment.

it might be possible when the next OS X is ready.

That's why. And also.....

MacBook Pro's refresh is every 8 months. So gauging that MacBook was launched in April, maybe there might be a refresh between Nov/Dec/Jan.

might be refreshed along with ipad. even if it is ready, i doubt they want to steal the limelight of iphone in sep. if it is ready, they won't want to miss the holiday season.

unfortunately i already had a early 2015 rMBP and the portability of rMB looks very attempting. would make my bag even lighter (currently i didn't have to bring my rMBP charger to school)

Hi all, what are the accessories u need when u migrate from Windows laptop to macbook 12" ?

I'm running my Lenovo laptop with one monitor(Dell 2412) at home..
In office, i run the same laptop with a docking station & two monitors(Dell 2412).. Any way to project my macbook to both monitors ?

Any issues on supporting remote to office servers (Win 2008, 2012) with Checkpoint & Junos Pulse ?

Can I upgrade the SSD to higher capacity such as 1TB in future on my own ?

You need a adapter to output your display to the monitor.

You can't upgrade the SSD, it is soldered on board.

I hav a mbp late 2013, and receiving a mb from Singtel soon.

Now, I have to decide which to sell and which to use.

If I using mb and selling mbp, I will be interested to get the hub+.

Let me know. I wanna see if we can get a few together.

Is anyone owning one yet?
Hows it like for everyday use?
Seems slow, impractical USB port and the keyboard feels like a toy.
Deciding between this and the 13" retina

It doesn't feel like a toy. Just because it's new technology doesn't mean it's no good or lousy.

I personally own one and love the keyboard. It's easier to type on and it's responsive. The main factor I love is the weight of the laptop.

Replaces my iPad easily. Even though it's non-touch on the MacBook.

Hardly use my USB devices and relying on Wireless and network drives now.

It's been an awesome experience with the MacBook.

My macbook12 today suddenly showed problem charging.
It will intermittently charge and not charge when plugged in.

Kinda suck. Anyone facing the same issue before?

Reset the SMC but didn't work.

Well, I guess Apple quality also not so good as before. My MacBook 12 maybe used less than 10times.

same, even on my rMBP, i hardly use the usb, but i do have a usb dongle for mouse that is plugged in permanently when I am using Windows. might be replacing it with the new razer orochi.

but of course i do understand my usage requirement so the new MB is not for mean for me :)

i went to the shop to test it out with the display sets..

i just tested it out without checking the specs so not sure which model it is, but when i was on safari, i just open quite a few tabs.. bloomberg, marketwatch, twitter, and 2 brokerages webpage.. then it became not really responsive..

so i think i sticking to my mba early 2015 first.. maybe next year then i change...
