It will still give you the selection of apps you want to choose and once you tab the app then it will be set as 'always' for the next time.
It seems now I can no longer choose 'just once' option anymore.
So if I want to change it I have to go to settings and clear the default.
Anyone else experiencing the same?
Simple test is probably to try open a PDF file.

I'm gonna wipe this weekend when I have the time. I feel like the battery life is bad but probably cos I loaded up tons of apps.

Gonna debloat it as well as per xda instructions

Can I ask those who recontract Note 5 with SINGTEL at comex..... did your phone come with any freebies? (like wireless charger, etc)

I recontracted by calling 1688, and forgot to check this point with the CSO. Just received by new note 5 in box but without any free stuff... so just checking in in case singtel act blur....

saw lots of people taking about sleeping beauty here, can anyone share with me what is this issue about?

try to google it but can't find the answer.

Same, i've not seen those option before. Once you select an app to open a file with, it sticks to that. A little annoying. Sometimes i just want to open the PDF to see only, but then when i want to fill in PDF forms and want to select "write on PDF", have to go clear default apps first. -_-

Sleep of death ? Basically phone stuck at black screen n unresponsive to even home button or power button
For me I had never faced such an issue yet on my N5 ( got it more than 2 weeks ago )

Just wondering if clearing the cache from recovery menu helps?

I do have such issue once in a while on my note 4.. hopefully note 5 would get this issue ironed out..

Don't you have "Always use this application" right at bottom of all the recommended app list
Just don't select this option

Wah, perhaps it's really the way it's designed to be. Come people feedback feedback.. :D

It will not have, but once you selected that app, it will always open with that App. Invisible "always use".

Gotta go to settings ->Applications -> Default applications to clear if want to open with some other app :o

Wireless charging is never as power efficient as wired charging due to the physical properties. You might expect a certain level of heat but that shouldn't be hotter than wired charging..
