AX40 and KC930 have sensors. I was thinking if they are accurate, so I placed them side by side. Conclusion, both have odour sensors...but they turn on at different times. Oh well. Also, AX40 shows yellow/green around 28. But sharp decides not to turn yellow even at 40. But that's just one sample. Take with salt.

What is this 28? μg/m³?

I wonder if it will reduce effectiveness of the AP if I were to position the AP such that the inflow of air is facing a wall instead of the other way.

All the stuff I have mentioned are safe. Ionisers can be turned off. I am not sure why so many people are bothered by that though. Besides, the state of California measures the ozone production. Sharp APs, Samsung/LG aircon etc.......all are 50 times below the Ozone limit stipulated by US EPA.

(1) O3 50X below safe limit
(2) Turn off.

Ya, ug/m2
I put mine in the middle of the room. I am guessing you will be artificially restricting the airflow if intake is placed too close to wall.

My AX40 arrived today... My 3rd AP in three weeks :D Ordered on 24th night, arrived in SG on 26 and sit until today (29) then deliver..

Super fast shipping I must say... Expected it to take 2 weeks cuz of the holidays. Anw as the haze could very well last till end Nov and recurs annually, stil not to late to order one (if you haven't already got one).

Is this normal behaviour for the Samsung AX40? It's set on auto mode, and every few minutes the fan spins up and goes to green/yellow/orange before going back to green/light-blue.

auto mode ma
the color change means 'dirty'
so ur fan work harder on high mode
den when its 'clean' it turns down to low again.

I was comparing it to my Sharp placed at the same spot in the room yesterday. The Sharp will clean and stay at green while the Samsung has been changing colours for the past hour.
