not sure if right thread but anyone got a good recommendation for a bike? Budget $1000

Activities for it are : Exercise, cycling (not commute), trails(not super heavy, like dirt, gravel)

Did some research and a cyclocross bike seems to be what I want but I'd love to hear the input of more experienced riders.

You need probably need like 1.3k to get a Tiagra level CX bike. There is a group of CX riders, including me.. Can go find us on FB.

At 1k, should be able to get a reasonably good hardtail. Info on MTB need to ask the MTB kakis.

I had asked this question few weeks back for mtb. Was introduced to Polygon and after some searching myself I got one of their hardtail. Can check out rodalink website for pricing. But I got mine from unikcycle coz it's nearer to my house.

I am really curious how durable can these sub-700g frames be.

Even Merida themselves said that the CF5 Scultura 9000 LTD Frame is not durable enough for Pro Use.. They uses CF4 frame for Lampre-Merida instead.
when i buy merida time, they didnt differentiate the carbon lol. got the same "pro" level carbon frame.

maybe they scared if bike flip it might break

905 which is now the reacto 5000 2014 year

Sent from Asus ASUS_T00P using GAGT

Looking at the 2014 frame description, seems like a CF3-equivalent grade frame of 2015 and 2016 Reactos

Edit:
REACTO CF 905 2014 -- Reacto Comp Direct-E
REACTO CF TEAM 2014 -- Reacto Pro-Direct-E

REACTO 5000 2015 -- REACTO CF3
REACTO TEAM-E 2015 -- REACTO CF4

REACTO 5000 2016 -- REACTO CF3
REACTO TEAM-E 2016 -- REACTO CF5

Hmm.. I just received my Bike24 package. Surprisingly fast. :D

25 Sept -- Ordered.
28 Sept -- Dispatched.
2 Oct -- Collected.

Look at the comments most probably the same frame

The bike I bought has a mrsp of 4.1k

In comparison to the 2015 model is 2.8k sgd

Can only know when I dismantle the whole bike and weigh the frame only

Due to haze cycle less often. Tubeless end up puncture...normal for tubeless to lose pressure overtime?

is there such thing like heavy duty tires preventing tire puncture?

If you talking about slicks, that will be the touring tires.

They are highly puncture resistant but not puncture proof.

Like what IronMac suggested, Schwalbe Marathon series or the one I am using, Continental Top Contact II from the Contact series.
