Mountain bike fork sexpert come in.

My fox 32 talas R don't rebound up anymore. Only when I get off the bike then it will rebound back. I pump air to 135psi as recommended into the fork Liao. What is wrong? Is it due for servicing? Change oil etc?

Who can service fork? I live west side.

Anyway I found out that kian hong and also gravity racing do fox servicing.

I will be going to gravity cos hopefully their turnaround Is faster.

OK I have a question to ask about derailleur and internal gear hub.

Suppose I have the following scenario:

Same bike model assuming both have similar weight..

A: x gear inches using cassette derailleur system
B: same x gear inches using internal gear hub (not at direct drive... e.g. 133%)

Which bike will go faster using same pedaling power?

Another scenario:

A: x gear inches using cassette derailleur system
B: same x gear inches using internal gear hub (at direct drive... e.g. 100%)

Which bike will go faster using same pedaling power?

assuming same energy input, derailleur will be faster, until it becomes dirty enough to lose more efficiency vs gear hub.

I read online that internal gear hub will lose a bit of efficiency. But for me neat and clean is more important. So my vintage bike got an 8 speed igh, but mtb is 10 speed at the back.

Actually an internal gear hub on a vintage bike looks really cool..

Planning for my next upgrade on my brompton... ;)

Looking to get into the cycling hobby. Considering getting an entry level hard tail mountain bike/ hybrid bicycle. Budget around $300. Any recommendation for a suitable bicycle or reputable bicycle shop in the north. Open to second hand bicycles as well! Thanks in advance :s12::s12:

Used to do it some years back. Also heard that teflon thing somewhere. Not sure if the teflon thing really works as in preventing new dirt from sticking on the frame though.:p But had not done it for sometime liao. But so far, had not observed any adverse effects. Btw, I spray the GT85 onto a piece of cloth in order to have control on where the GT85 goes and wipe only the painted frame only. I treat that as a quick fix way of cleaning the frame and hopefully have less dirt sticking onto it. For more detailed work, I wash the bike and applied car wax over the painted parts of the frame.

Had not done it ever since I got myself the Finishline Showroom Polish and Protectant. But I also avoid getting that stuff going onto the brake components too.

Yes, I sprayed it onto a cloth and applied it to the frame. :)
