U got 1 year so just monitor, freezing sometimes caused by bugs is unavoidable, bring it down also no use cos it could be certain apps doing it unless u r experiencing it often even after factory reset. Cos now no microSD card so more or less those are rule out, anything wrong not software related is definitely Samsung's problem. Sometimes cannot everything blame Samsung, could be Google's fault or Singtel apps fault, never know.

Since nowadays cannot take out battery, there must be a way to reset your phone like iPhone. For all you know, that info is in the manual which all of us can't be arse to read haha.

Naw, Like what I've mentioned earlier I've just get it back from the samsung service centre last week so there's not much apps installed and the pre-loaded apps has been disabled by using "Package Disabler Pro". Nevertheless, like what you've mentioned there's so many factor that might be causing the hanging and no use of bringing it to the service center as they will be doing factory reset only. My only option is just to closely monitor it.

Thanks again man for the advice and this sleeping beauty symptoms is sucks big time.

How do u manage to turn off VOlte? ? I tried it under phone settings but I can still see those directional arrows indicating me device is still with VOlte enabled !

The arrows will be still there but hd voice will be deactivated. I found my phone hanging when i was talking on volte when the net work switch to 3g. ......so I turn off volte in call settings. So far 2.5 days already and I still never kena zzzzzz issues.

Day 2.. No problem Le.
When I got the mobile, I factory reset and install some of my app. Restart it.
I change the launcher. The only thing I had is hang... Not sure is it too much app @ bg open.

No WiFi switched on for whole day also kenna sleeping beauty lor...at least for me...

:s22::(

Sigh... so much for the wifi theory.

List of theories we have eliminated so far:
- Delete cache partition theory
- Conflicted app theory
- Phone reset theory
- Screen-off memo theory
- Phone color theory (black vs gold vs silver vs whatever)
- 32Gb vs 64Gb theory
- Change launcher theory
- Swiftkey theory
- Lock screen notifications theory
- Fingerprint lockscreen theory
- Disable lockscreen theory
- Power or Home button power on theory
- S View cover theory
- Weather-display theory
- Wall-paper motion effect theory
- Disable KNOX theory
- VoLTE theory
- Wifi theory

Still to be tested and confirmed:
- Telco bloatware theory
- Samsung TouchWiz sucks theory (ie. already proven theory)
- Samsung deep sleep theory (ie. nothing we can do theory)
- Sinkies-have-just-arse-luck theory (ie. also nothing we can do theory)
- Marshmallow is my savior theory

Yes, I'm out of ideas already.

I'm just happy that LG and Sony is coming up. Heck, even that Nexus 6P looks good. Anyone here own LG phone before? I heard the firmware is like laggy but is it still like that nowadays?

Spoke to Samsung about the phone sleeping issue..the CSO only advise me to send phone to service centre for checking. The problem was unable to replicate the sleeping issue on the spot and came back with nothing resolved. I would think a lot of people already complained to them and not sure whether they are taking any action to resolve it...

This is the kind of thing that will make people stop buying their phones slowly and they wouldn't know why. They won't stop doing **** to their TW until profit become a loss

Figures out as much because it's a samsung software problem not HARDWARE, hence customer service also unable to do anything and just simply acting by trying to "fix your phone" and factory reset. That's all what they will do.

This is totally unacceptable especially with this kind of premium price. Been using samsung since Galaxy S1 and now this incident is really an eye opener for me now.

Seems to have gotten worse for me. It used to be that the screen would turn on and even unlock but the phone would be unresponsive for a good 30 secs or so. Now, whenever I try to turn the screen on, nothing happens for close to a minute.

Is the Edge Plus susceptible to this issue? Might consider switching if this continues.

By turning off the location settings on the Weather Widget seemed to have helped me, at least for today, there was once that the lock screen lagged a bit (1-2 seconds), but nothing like my previous attempts to unlock where I have to wait for at least 20-30 seconds.

Opened my eyes a long time ago thanks to the s3 sudden death issue. Price doesn't match the quality.
