Guys,

I bought my laser printer, fuji xerox with extra cartridge.

As I seldom print, i my original cartridge that comes with the printer lasted me 6 years.

So this month is time for me to change, so I opened the spare cartridge and use it. But when I tried to print, there are smudges in some part of the paper and the middle part is rather light.

I already shook the cartridge before I use it as per instruction.

Anyone know how to fix the smudge and middle part that is lighter than the left n part of the paper?

What's the specific model? Can refer to the manual for troubleshooting tips.

Smudging is most likely a fuser problem where it does not heat up enough to melt the toner powder on to the paper. U will need to bring the printer for servicing if it is under warranty.

But if I use the old toner which is almost empty, no smudge detected. Weird.

The old toner might not have adequate powder to cover all the areas for the fuser, which may be working at the required heat for some areas of the paper only.

Print out a complete full black page.

If old toner no problem but 'new' toner has, means toner probably spoilt already. They do harden and clump up after very long storage.

Prefer to have auto off/on function (must have)
Able to print from iOS/Android devices (Good to have, can do without)

means only need to scan one time dual page documents like those photocopy machine..
scan once and den print both sides on 1 paper.
