Hi guys, I understand that we need to pay 3 bills via giro in order to get the extra interest.

Just to check, how do I apply for giro payment?

Thanks!

I did not get any bonus interest for this month due to an oversight.
I spent $1509 using uob 1 card but did not ensure $500 min spending for september (spent $430 nia)
just did an appeal - keeping my finger crossed:o

hi all, i've just opened a UOB one account. To qualify for the higher tiered interest rates, i need to arrange 3 giro payments with participating organizations. Is IRAS tax payments (personal income tax & property tax) and AXA monthly premium deduction considered?

thanks

May i check with u guys,
when we spend on UOB One CC, the Transaction Date or Posted Date will be used to determine the spending falls on THIS or NEXT Calendar-Month/Statement-Cycle.

I suspected that I was being shortchanged by UOB last month for one last spending on 30/Sep/15 in order for me to hit the $500 minimum spending but it turned out the spending posted date is 1/Oct/15. I think that is the reason that I did not get my Bonus Interest for Sep/15.

Or is it that I've to wait until Nov/15 to get it because my One Account was opened on 2/Sep/15.

I am new to this account.

Suppose my UOB one CC cycle is from 15 Sep-14 Oct. For the calculation of interest for the month of Oct, is it based on $500 spending during 15 Sep-14 Oct cycle or is it based on $500 spending during month of Oct (i.e 1-31 Oct)?

welcome to confusion part 1

for rebate 3.33%, spend
> 500 (15/09-14/10)
> 500 (15/10-14/11)
> 500 (15/11-14/12)
subjected to consistent spending each mth per billing quarter

for interest of up to 2.42%, spend
> 500 (01/09-30/09)
> 500 (01/10-31/10)
> 500 (01/11-30/11)
> 500 (01/12-31/12)
subjected to tier of savings, not restricted by quarters, ie failure to spend in one of the month does not affect interest in other months

in order not to disrupt your quarters, u cannot change date to have 2 statements in the same month, ie. cannot have

statement 1 : 14 oct (uob read as oct statement)
statement 2 : 30 oct (uob read as oct statement)
they will confuse themselves then dun give u rebate.

today already 9 oct, not sure if u can change date now. suggest that u reverify with cso if changing date will affect your benefits as we cant be held responsible if our advices is a little wrong (just in case).

suggested dates

statement 1: push back to 27-28 oct if possible
statement 2 : 27-28 nov
or
statement 1 : 14 oct
statement 2 : 1-3 nov

alternatively u can dun change date, and try to plan your spending to fit the dates for rebates and interest

Thank you very much for the very clear explanation :)
I will plan my spending as it seems to be the easier way out >.<

If I open Uob one account and apply for Uob one credit in only October ,
Will it be qualified for 3.33% credit card rebate up to 150 ? ( they stated spending has to be 1500 min each month within the quarter )
