guys, the video shown by WRX has the diagram

air-> prefilter> hepa > charcoal> cleanse air

for Ax40's hepa, how do u all place it? my charcoal is turn around based on the "front" reading. Is my placement wrong?

Air>Prefilter> charcoal>hepa>cleanse air

Yours is correct.

Take out the filter & smell lo.
The black rubber gasket/frame of filter likely culprit.
& if the filter is white color, most likely bleached white

Going to air and sun the filter.
Then try again.

Read from Taobao website about xiaomi AP. Some buyers also say got weird smell...
One of them sun and air then smell gone.

Praying hard

The 3rd button from left side ... when there is light at the "circle" symbol, it means it is ON

This should make it easier to visualise. I updated the visual from the previous version.

So, since it's the weekend I decided to do some (very unscientific) testing. All measurements taken directly at the air output vents. If somebody can post pictures I can send you the screenshots of the particle reader.

All filters have just been changed (1-2 weeks old), except IQAir (about 2 years old). Daikin filters newest (about 3 days).

Measurements will be in the order
>0.3µm
>2.5µm

Ambient readings ~6000µm for >0.3µm

IQAir
0
0

Samsung AX40
21
0

Austin Air
195
0

Balmuda
69
0

Xiaomi
750
3

I don't know why the Balmuda and Xiaomi have such a large discrepancy between their readings despite being so similar. The only thing I can think of is that the Balmuda does indeed have a H13 filter, or that the extra carbon filter helps somehow.

Non-HEPA Air Purifiers

Daikin

Airvax

Hope this helps.

Tested AX40 with a cheap watt meter, if accurate, results rather unexpected.

High speed only 25 watt, nowhere near the 40+watt mentioned. Low speed 6.1 watt, almost silent, can barely feel the air moving. This is with Virus Doctor switched off.

Just an idea, would it be more efficient to put a desktop fan to blow into the Samsung ax40 backend where the filter is? It's like pushing the room's dirty air into the air purifier. I mean this is for ultra fast room air cleaning or when haze is really bad.

Hi

Any bros can help me confirm if the TCL 260A is the same product as Novita NAP 611i ??

Which means NAP 611i users can also order replacement filters from Taobao too .

Thanks

Any bro ordered custom taobao filter for novita 611i before?

Whats the dimensions that you used for custom size?

Thanks

Spamming this again, don't mind.

If it's difficult to read, it's 1000 ug/m3 -> 1 ug/m3.
Time taken 28 mins, 35 mins. 27.5 watts. 139.1 watts.

When I use the 25mm 26RMB filter, I'd get 19W only and about 240 m3/hr as measured and calculated (I average the airflow speed between left, centre and right side of the vane output).
SPL also goes down.

Short answer : You can get a slightly faster cleaned room by just just a fan to circulate the air in the round around.... esp in big room (lower ACH, below 5.0).

High ACH rooms, no issue.

Wow....which laser particle counter do you have.

I am surprised that the Austin Air is not close to zero. It's supposed to be a SOLID product.

Yes, the Daikin is electrostatic filter based, like the 3M Filtrete furnance filters. You'd get similar results with Blueair, which uses hybrid filters as well.

Another day of good air quality

Yep....good quality air.

3-hr PSI peaked 119

1hr peaked 82 μg/m³ (1-hr PSI 128 / AQI 165)

24-hr mean
Avg 47.2 μg/m³ 45.8 μg/m³ 43.9 μg/m³ 47.6 μg/m³ 39.0 μg/m³

24-hr mean 45.8ug/m3 = 24-hr PSI 90
