This is original fr sharp or tb hepa? My a50's original has blue mesh. Im alway curious what that black spongy cube is for. Perhaps for the sensors?

Yap that is original hepa with white surface same as TB.
The cube spongy inside was the sensor.

Just empty dust cube spongy will do

Ahhh ok...without blue mesh might be good, easier to gauge hepa lifespan. the A50's sensor and perhaps previous models are behind the hepa with another one on top left near closure

Mind to sharp some pic?
Just in case the dust blockage on hepa, the sensor will be infective anymore

I do maintenance on a weekly basis but no blockage observed thus far. Look at the jap yt vid which i posted earlier to get an idea of how to do basic cleaning and where the sensors are for A50

Compare to KC-A model, just remove sponge and wash on sponge will do.

The sponge thing is good for hair, fur etc coz allowance is too generous for dust coz still need sensor to be able to pick particulates for reading. Good to still vacc when u vacc the prefilter as microscopic dust may still be accumulate there although plasmacuster suppose to remove static charge.

Another area to look out for possible leakage and dust accumulatation is near the filter tank. Just use 3M filterete to cover those area if necessary.

Try to put ur ap further away fr wall for better efficiency

Testing out my newly arrived SamoAir counter and checking my AX40 efficiency. Thanks to all the bros here for dishing out recommendations. Room temp recorded is about 1-2 degree C higher than actual. I got a hot room, hotter than the outside cos it has 2 walls exposed to the sun during the day.

Naise!
Can calibrate with the 5 diff color levels of the ax40? I always wonder if the difference between green and blue is just eye candy
