Hello all,

Would be getting a GTX 960 from lazada.

I'm looking at the below brands as the price point is more or less equal after discount. Which will be the best value for money..? I'm thinking Zotac for the 5 yr combined warranty but local is only 2 yrs + 3 years overseas.. the rest are 3 yrs only but local.

ZOTAC GeForce GTX 960 Twin Fan 2GB GDDR5 OC $299
Palit GeForce GTX 960 JetStream 2GB DDR5 $305
Leadtek Gtx 960 Hurricane 2Gb Ddr5 Pcie $289
ASUS Turbo GeForce GTX 960 Graphics $299
Asus Gtx 960 Turbo 2Gb O.C Edition $309

thx bro. but the thing is asus after discount is the same price point with zotac. so will asus still be a better as it's more "premium" brand?

i believe zotac offers longer warranty?

if its the same price, why not choose the brand based on where you are located at instead?

ASUS- Ban leong (Ubi)
Zotac - Tech dymanic(chai chee)

Since when Asus is premium? After 3 years your Asus 960 kaput, then need to spend again.

I'd avoid ASUS and Leadtek unless I have a good deal on a US set. Sending stuff to RMA with the local distributor of these brands is a worse feeling than visiting a dentist.

Just buy the cheapest with longest local warranty. Don't have to bother where the service ctr is. How big is Singapore? And you probably need one repair in the lifetime or probably not at all.

All these models should perform more or less the same, probably few FPS difference due to different clock speeds.

Below are some of the criteria I look out for when choosing my desired graphic card brand.

- Aesthetics, whether the colour scheme of the graphic card suit my build theme, motherboard and ram colour. Graphic card with or without back plate.

- Size of the card if using a smaller case. The length and the number of slots for the graphic card.

- Efficiency of the fan and heatsink, keeping the card cool can maintain higher boost clocks, prevent clock throttling and overall better lifespan for your card.

- Number of power pin for the graphic card. Eg. single 6pin vs single 8pin. Providing more power and headroom for overclocking.

- Number of power phases for the GPU core and VRAMS. Eg. 6+2 or 4+1 power phases for overvolting during overclocking.

- Single or dual VBIOS. Secondary VBIOS for you to experiment with custom VBIOS for overclocking. In case something screw up, you still have the primary VBIOS to boot.

- Last but not least, price.
