Scary China natural air so dusty, after 1 day turn into dark color

Should wipe on interior side facing fan blower

I took a look from the side facing the blower, it's a little grey.

Washed the prefilter too.

Yes, correct. The pleated white part (HEPA filter) faces inside, the black part (deodorization filter) face out.

Well, the filter placement for the AX40 is idiot-proof, you can't get it wrong one so no worries.

I couldn't take the smell so I removed the carbon filter for AX40.

The carbon filter is only taped to the Hepa filter so it is very easy to remove. Just peeled away (not tear off) the black tape.

The smell is still there but after a while, it reduces a lot.

Try to insert customise hepa 45mm if you have it and see got different or not.

I didnt buy the customise hepa but the AX40 is always beside my computer blowing at me since I bought it. So I know the smell (no smell at first) from day one.

My living room air quality is not good, the AX40 will change colour every now and then. Though it does not go to red.

I thought carbon filter is to filter smell?
