How do we know that the latest firmware is intended to solve the sleeping beauty problem? Samsung has not even admitted to the problem despite all the complaints we made here.

We don't and they probably won't say lol. So we're just monitoring and so far it has been pretty positive.

Samsung Singapore did confirmed that the OJD build of the firmware was aimed to fix the unable to immediately activate the device from standby mode issue. The comms was told to Samsung Connections members. Please try the new firmware out and see if it really solved the "sleeping" issue. :)

yup.. doesn't require them to explicitly acknowledge the problem, as long as the software works.. doesn't bother me if they acknowledge or not anyway..

I think some of our guys here are confusing themselves between sleeping beauty and apps hanging.......I think they are 2 different issues........those with apps hanging problems might want to try and do a factory reset......

Ya, i also think the same, sleeping beauty is just refused to wake up when home or power button being press while phone leaving there for a long period...

Agreed and agreed.

Sleeping beauty occurs when the phone is on stand-by/locked, i.e. the screen is not turned on (black) and when the Home button or Power button is pressed, the screen does not turn on immediately and lags for 5 to 10 sec. Sometimes, the phone remains unresponsive even after the screen is turned on and ready for unlocking.

If based on my above description, I have not encountered sleeping beauty ever since the new OJD firmware is pushed to us.
