Opened up the CEM DT-802 CO2 meter, the device is using a ndIR sensor called SenseAir S8.
What's serial number of your device?

I have older one from Dec 2011 with SenseAir K22 and Sensiron SHT11

Saw an Europace EPU70 air purifier the other day. Looks like a very small AP, but the specs says it handle up to 74m2. Had one turned on and it seems very quiet even on the highest setting. Anyone have experience with this AP?

http://europace.com.sg/shop/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=211

Yeah, believe it's an air ionizer: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_ioniser

I find it hard to trust anything where they don't clearly describe the testing methodology used. On their qoo10 page they just state this in response to a question :s8:

The air purifier is tested and approved before we claim the coverage as in advertising materials. You can check up the specifications and more info about the technology within the listing.

http://list.qoo10.sg/item/EUROPACE-AIR-PURIFIER-EPU-70P-70M/421089883

Recall someone shared another tiny unit with a supposed coverage that sounded way too large for it's size, turned out in the test they used 5 sets in one room :s13:

Around there, come with 2pcs pre-filter.

Sent from Sony D6653 using GAGT

Wah lao, ask the boss to dont pack like that lah. Waste weight.

I thought the the packaging was well done, reinforced at the four corners to prevent it from being crushed. Mine came a little crushed at the corner as TB consolidated all the items together and seemed to squeeze the air out of the whole package. :vijayadmin:

comparing the TB filter to the original (yucks. Look how dirty the original filter is)

Used the TB filter with the 1 x AP turned on full blast overnite. Placed in the middle of the living room with all bedroom doors opened and 1 living room window with small gap of 1cm opened. Raw reading of 5-8 in all the rooms, except kitchen which as about 25 as 1 kitchen window also slightly ajar.

Close up view of a Sharp original filter after 1 year of use.

See the corners of the intersections. looks like cobwebs.

with this size and power consumption, I don't think it can cover 74m2. Always discount about 20% to 30% of a given product spec.

Ya...was quite surprise with the claimed coverage of 74m2 because of the size of the unit and the output airflow feels rather gentle even on the highest setting. But with the power consumption of 12W, the e-nano filter that are washable for a few times, low noise, it seems like quite attractive if it can really clean up the the specified area.

First time buying from Taobao, do you select Global Direct or Global Consolidate upon checkout?

Bro, it seems like you are a pretty serious enthusiast! :s12:

Mine is 150407466.

Never checked the temp/humidity sensor, but I know it's pretty accurate when I cross-check with my other devices which are supposed to have paid some attention to accuracy/design. (not the typical ABC stuff in DIY shops)

Anyway, I like your president's hands-on approach! Unfortunately, I don't think they (Indonesia) is going to be buying many Be-200s, so only 2 were dispatched to Sumatra. So still pretty much insufficient there, esp with the very strong El Nino.

Yours is Apr 2015 production BTW

The case construction increased real inside temperature (+1C) in my case
But your CO2 sensor consume less wattage and/or CEM made temperature calibration finally

I see, i touched my Airsense S8 sensor and there is very very little heat production. Also, i tried to power the device via my 5200mAh powerbank, it just dropped 1 bar for 15 hrs of uptime, pretty impressive.

The temperature and humidity of mine shd be accurate, definitely not 1 deg C off.

But the CO2 measurement went off a little if i were to use a 5V powerbank, increased approx 50ppm, as compared to powering with a 6V source ie the DC adapter.

Anyway wrx, just tried to zhng the filters, it's quite a tight fit so i assume no need to stuff tissue and packaging along the seams? :s12:

No need, I customised mine to be swee swee one.

A bit of leakage, no issue.

That's how stuff like Xiaomi, Mfresh M8088A and Blueair work (hybrid mech and electrostatic filter media). In fact the Xiaomi, M8088A and Blueair ProXL/650E would pawn many other APs. :s13:

Mfresh M8088A also will be RMB 899 on Nov 11. Issue is, dare or not, or you can arrange to do sea freight via the unofficial forwarders.

short term solution, air it as much as u can. AP with good activated charcoal filter or plenty of activated charcoal bags in your wardrobe

Longterm, DIY a "Botanicaire", google for plants that are good VOC removal but any plant is good too. Culture some microbes and put in media, its not that just the plants that absorb the VOC but the roots system along with the microbes. Do note that the effectiveness of this long term solution, long after your nose cant detect the VOC depends on how you grow your plant.
