So far my note 5 doesn't fall into a deep sleep. Light sleeper now after the update.

That isn't a good thing isn't it.. Haha does battery drain during idling like crazy?

So far, no sleeping issues for me for past 2 days. Battery life seems to be the same too.

Yeah I did. There was an error saying "Screen write has stopped working." And the phone just froze for a good 5 mins. I'll see if it happens again.

Ok. i hate this kind of thing, no reason and hard to diagnose lol. Just hope you don't have to factory reset.

Yes you can chiong for it now. I have not had the issue for the past 3 days since I have upgraded to latest firmware. It came at the right time, to be honest, because I was really contemplating swapping this for a Nexus 6P.

Yup. Me too. The sleeping problem came back a week after the last update and it was really bad - almost every other time I tried to turn on my set. I don't want to jinx it, but I think the problem is finally resolved in this latest update. The set feels different when I flip open my cover. It turns on much more smoothly now.

Yes sony is great as long as you don't have high expectations with regard to the camera. 😉
