The rate shown at money changer is based on 1000¥. So for example, based on $1SGD -> 86¥, it's 11.6x. Simply take 1/86 X 1000 and you will get the rates we usually discussed. So the lower the number the better for us. Because we are using lesser SGD to change for 1000¥
