Any idea whether the power supply is universal (e.g. 110V-220V) like before? They up the wattage for the new Apple TV. Thinking of buying overseas (U.S.) and bringing back to SG.

So correct me if i am wrong.

Locally, ATV content is censored unless the account connected to apple store is a US account?

I still need to rely on VPN to bypass local ISP to stream Netflix too?

Local 2015 ATV does not come with SIRI remote?

1. SG iTunes store contents such as Movies and Music is available locally in SG. However TV shows is not available unless use an US account. It is not sensored.

2. For Netflix, Hulu, etc, you definitely need VPN to bypass.

3. I am very sure Apple TV 4th Gen (2015) SG set will come with SIRI Remote only with different naming (Apple TV Remote). Both US and SG set will come with the same hardware (ie same Apple TV console and same remote with dual microphone and Siri/Search button). The SIRI functionality is not advertised in SG because iTunes store is not as comprehensive/complete as the US iTunes store or due to some other Movie/TV rights/licensing issue. You will still be able to use the SIRI feature with the local SG set if you log in as US account or set the Apple TV region to US. I see no point getting it from US and bring it back to SG just for the SIRI feature. I believe Apple will roll out the SIRI feature to other countries over time. I don't think Apple is stupid to make 2 different remotes just to piss off customers.

But if the theater is being fed from the Apple TV's output, & the Apple TV can't even handle DTS, how does it pass the DTS data to the theater system.

Oh dear, my speakers can't take HDMI input directly.

Sorry ralliart12, I don't have an answer to your question then but now with the closed beta testing starting today, it has been confirmed that the DTS is working on the ATV4.... Infuse 4.0 beta :D

Extracted from Infuse beta testing forum: "The Dolby/DTS works! AppleTV preferences -> Surround sound -> Dolby Surround - choose Auto. It´s working really nice!"

My 6yr old daughter loves the free games. Prob is she drops the remote often.

Geesh considering the remote is ex. Why no 'condom' casing?
I dun wish to spend $18 on a cord.

MrMC, the stripped down version of Kodi (no add ons as no python support) has been submitted to the app store. Should be approved soon assuming no hiccups. Hopefully next week.

I read Kodi won't be ready to sideload until Janurary at the earliest.

Can I ask what you are using your 2015 ATV for?

I bought one, but it has largely been collecting dust beside my living room TV.

There are no good games worth playing, I have no iTunes content worth streaming, and I largely use it for Youtube and the occasional Apple Music streaming. Feels like quite the waste at the moment.

I believe the apps and services will eventually come, just that I am quite at a loss at the moment.

I have apple tv 2. I exchanged the remote controller twice with apple during warranty period. When i dropped it on the floor it spoil already. It happened to 2 remotes, not 1. Super fragile. I will never buy their things again.

Try Plex or Air Video - it streams any content (i.e. non-iTunes) wirelessly to your Apple TV from a NAS/PC. This capability along with AirPlay is worth the whole price of the ATV for me. Everything else (apps, Siri) is just bonus.

Sure got media apps that support smb nas one ba, dun forget the new appstore :p

Definitely have, just a matter of time. I've tons of SMB / NAS / UPnP / DLNA streaming apps but my all time favourite (universal) is still Infuse 3, hopefully they will make it to Apple TV soon. Not many apps out there can play Dolby Digital Plus (AC3/E-AC3), DTS & DTS-HD audio but this baby can.

Update: Yes, it will be coming to Apple TV App Store very soon - Infuse & The New Apple TV

Finally, the new Infuse 4 is live on the Apple TV App Store today!

When you search for "Infuse" on the Apple TV App Store (tvOS), it shows you 2 hits: "Infuse" (free) and "Infuse Pro".

So for existing Infuse 3 users on iOS (iPhone / iPad), which version should you install on the tvOS? Infuse or Infuse Pro?

If you're like me, who installed the free version of Infuse 3 on iOS and upgraded to Pro via In-App purchase then you should be installing the free version of Infuse on tvOS and your Pro features will be restored automatically (it's a free upgrade for all current Infuse Pro users v3 or later).

According to the developer, better visual indication of when Pro is active will be added in the next version update.

The Apple TV AirPlay is very sluggish especially for video. Wonder anyone have any solution?
